These are, I believe, outdated now. Though, I think Bob Carine has one: Durst Lambda printer....a pretty amazing device, having its own 'darkroom' enclosure.

The ribbon is nothing (and easily removed) but look at that rut in the earth. That might take a decade to recover.

    Re: Reversal vs negative

Chromes are difficult to print. But some people are attracted to difficult situations. I was, but I stopped when Cibachrome stopped.
  13. Re: Precision and Accuracy in LF Photography: How much is enough?

The nice thing about photography is the 'product' shows all and answers all questions; just look at the print.

    Re: 300mm lens 4x5" landscape

I suspect the Horseman 150/300 converter will work with a similar construction 150mm lens. I'd call sharpness OK. It is perhaps as sharp as a 300mm plasmat. So, the results would be similar to a 4x5"...

I have only made wetplates with sunlight. The only strobes I own won't be strong enough (camera mounted units). I'll let others that have tried this chime in here if this will work.
  31. Re: Which would be easier to build - 8x10 SLR or TLR?

How about a reflex viewer for the back. Seems like the number of steps to make a photograph would be the same.

    Compare:

    YOUR SLR:
    1) focus compose
    2) close shutter
    3) set aperture
