    Re: Fujinon-W flash problem (M/X)

The shutter is a Copal #1. No, I won't open it myself. But finding the right person to do it is not easy.

    Fujinon-W flash problem (M/X)

I have an old Fujinon-W 5,6/180 lens, bought off eBay years and years ago but never used (by me), that I wanted to use, now, for a project. It looked OK at first, but then I ran across a problem...

Re: Flash Socket for Old Shutter?

OK, so the name is Bipost. That yields a hit even on Amazon, but: "Currently unavailable". https://paramountcords.com/product/bp-pf-bipost-to-pc-female-6-inches/ looks better. Thank you!

    Flash Socket for Old Shutter?

The photo shows the flash connection on an old shutter, at least I think that's what it is. I would much rather have a PC socket, so evidently I need an adaptor. Would anyone know whether such things...

Re: Help with Super Topcor 5,6/120?

It's like the old saying, "There are no stupid questions". No, I didn't have the shutter cocked, or, rather, I had it cocked just once several days ago, when the lever opened the shutter correctly....

Re: Help with Super Topcor 5,6/120?

Thank you, everybody. I think we can agree that the brass ring issue has been solved. But two problems still remain:

    1. Can the flash socket be removed from the Horseman board to accompany the...

Re: Help with Super Topcor 5,6/120?

This photo shows the brass ring and the screw. It really looks like the ring's gap and the screw belong together, doesn't it?208837

Re: Help with Super Topcor 5,6/120?

No, I didn't. Your photo shows the front of the shutter. The screw and the brass ring with the gap I'm writing about are on the opposite (rear) side.

Re: Help with Super Topcor 5,6/120?

I did forum searches with combinations of front/rear and element/cell:

"front element" 83 pages (of hits)
    "front cell" 30 pages
    "rear element" 77 pages
    "rear cell" 32 pages
    ...

    Re: Intrepid Enlarger Attachment

I got the attachment a few days ago. I have not used it yet, but thought it might interest somebody that a Graflok back does not seem 100% necessary.

Before ordering the attachment, I wrote to...

Re: Help with Super Topcor 5,6/120?

Sorry for the confusion. The front element is attached to the shutter, and both the shutter and the flash socket are attached to the Horseman board, and the flash socket is electrically connected to...

    Help with Super Topcor 5,6/120?

I have a 90mm lens (Angulon) for my homemade 4x5 camera and thought a 120mm one would be a nice addition. So I bought the one in the title off Ebay.

It was clearly advertised as being mounted on a...

    Re: Tri-X Reciprocity Failure

I finally succeeded in scanning my first TMAX100 images - and am impressed. This one was shot under a railway bridge with my homemade roll-film pinhole camera: 207961The aperture is about 250, so...

    Re: Tri-X Reciprocity Failure

OK - thank you! I shall certainly try the TMAX 100 that you suggested. I really dislike reciprocity failure. And Fuji Acros is uncomfortably expensive.

    Tri-X Reciprocity Failure

Reciprocity failure is a big problem for me (not just the spelling), so I have been looking at what manufacturers say about their products. At...

You saw a design flaw and fixed it (easily), but you are telling us neither what the flaw was nor how you fixed it. Sorry; I don't get your point.

    Wanderlust Travelwide - still alive?

I only found out, today, quite by chance, about the Wanderlust Travelwide camera, and was intrigued. It seems like a great idea, but it also seems like dead one. I mean, it is as if the company had...
