  3. Re: What small lightweight lens for 4x5 backpacking?

Agree, tiny and well made lenses. They weight nothing.

If you didn't already, using wooden film holders will save a lot of weight.

    Re: Avedon

I think we missed the point.
I personally don't evaluate a peace of art by my sympathy for the artist, instead a see his work, if it give me an emotion what ever it is; if it add something to me or...

    That's my opinion too Pieter.
I had an idea of Avedon and his work when I first saw it (only through books, unfortunately not in an exhibition). That idea changed after reading "Avedon at Work, In...

    Re: Hypo clear?

I ordered one kilo of Sodium Sulfite for one shot use.
I think it's a teaspoon (around 20gr) for one liter of water for film use, isn't it?

Going back to exposure index, Foma 200 is actually more a 100 iso speed, isn't it?

    Re: Berlebach tripods - advice?

    Yes Delfi,

I think I will go for the 813 in green or titanium grey.

I made a test with my Manfrotto 055 and 130cm height (plus 12cm of the 410 head) would be more than enough for almost all...

    Re: Berlebach tripods - advice?

Thank you Delfi, thank you Bob.

    Re: Berlebach tripods - advice?

Thank you Bob. I had a deeper look at the Berlebach site and for my needs I found the 302 and the 803 to be good enough: max height at 139 and 131cm, not too heavy (2.8 and 2.3 kilos). The 803 is a 3...

    Hello,

    I use a Lowepro AW300 which I own for my 35mm gear.
