Re: New To LF and To LFPF

I tried this summer with exposures up to measured 30 seconds and got useable results, when trying to go by the data sheet.
Still, as much as I like FOma 200 and 400, I rather use something with less...

Re: New To LF and To LFPF

The reciprocity failure of Fomapan 200 is absolutely horrible.
To get 10 seconds of exposure you need to expose for 90 seconds for example. All according to Foma's own data sheet
    At ISO 200 though.

Re: The Setup and the Shot

    Thanks!

Some luck, since my shutter was broken. The longest working speed was 1/15.
Had it been working then I probably would have used something a bit longer, with too much motion blur.

    Many thanks.

And had to check it up.
it was 1/2 sec and f11, which accounts for that nice blur on the water I guess.

  21. Re: Light Meter for Large Format (4x5) Landscape Photography

Well, yes, in that case, then a spot meter would be handy.
Of course there are black and white landscapes that would benefit from a spot meter, but in my experience that is not very often.
    Usually...
  22. Re: Light Meter for Large Format (4x5) Landscape Photography

From my point of view the choice of meter is related to type of film.
For black and white and color neg I tend to use a incident meter.
For slide film a spotmeter is essential I think, to help to...

  24. Re: Rollei RPX25 extended red sensitivity example

Well, the Rpx rolls off from 700 to 750, and Foma from 680 to 690 so there is a definite difference (a bit uncertain in comparison since the scales are not equal). And as you say the red filter would...

It was well researched and planned and came out well I think. Could have had a bit more clouds/texture in the sky, but on the other hand I was lucky with the clouds on the mountain.

But some early versions use a 00 shutter.
Mine has serial number 5247290 and is mounted in a Synchro Compur 00 shutter.
So you may need to check up on the size of the hole

    Re: Lens Shutter Test?
