  1. Re: Your experience with "on demand" photo book printing services?

Have done some in the past with Blurb - is OK if you have modest expectations and OK with variety in printing quality from one order to the next. Also used Lulu but the best is Edition One in San...

  4. Re: Are Graflex Grafmatic film holders more trouble than they're worth?

Depends on your level of concentration and ability to remember and work carefully with them. If yes, they can be fine. I prefer a simpler answer, as an infrequent shooter, rusty and sometimes in a...

Re: can't get sharp photos with an LF camera

    Agreed. Just to summarize:
Use the ruler test to see if anything is in focus.
If not, then lens, or camera mounting (vibration) likely culprits.
If so, then plane of focus off.
    If negative...

Re: ISO New Printer - Suggestions?

Congrats on your new Canon. The comparison suggests something was off with the Epson, either clogged, or profiles. They aren't that far off.

My SW 23 does the same. Drew's recommendation makes a lot of sense: simple and removable, doesn't impact anything else.

Whoops. Sorry about that. Thanks for the correction.
  16. Re: Linhof MT vs. Technikardan 45s for urban landscapes and architecture

Just to clarify, the RF is attached to the side, built in the casting. Not removable, but you are able to use the camera without referencing it.

No experience with this, but bought their GRaid 28Tb dual drive and am delighted. With T bolt-3, it fast, very quiet and so far without problems.

Re: Help me choose a camera to hike 2000+ miles

    Re: slot canyon support

Maybe a 2x3 might be a bit easier. Gitzo made a monopod with three legs - I used it with MF camera in some Ecuadorian jungles, and keeping it low (<3'), was able to get up to 8" sharp exposures.
