I bought a new 045H-1 from Hugo here in the UK last month. The VAT I paid on customs was the same as I paid on a second hand lens from Japan - this was down the helpful description Hugo put on the...
Too late! I sold the Nagoaka, and I am very very happy with the 045H1. It is only slightly bigger than the folded NS but far more rigid and able to take my 210mm lens without sagging. I've shot this...
I have shot my 045H-1 a few times now. The ground glass is excellent in my opinion (although I have only shot with an old 70's Nagaoka Seisakusho previously and in comparison it is night and day)....
Thought I would share my new Chamonix 045H-1. It's a beautiful camera.

Thanks for the heads up about dust - I have read about this so will take it seriously. Thanks for all comments thus far, I guess I should let you know that I have bought a complete Nagoaka kit for a...
Thanks for your replies. I will continue to think hard (and see what kit present itself to me!).

Thanks for your comments. Leaving an instant print with a portrait subject is great idea! - so thank you. I am 32, so not sure if that qualifies as young? I may do as is suggested and dip my toe in...
Already sorted :)
Thanks Ari - appreciated.
Please don't get me wrong, I would still be setting up and composing the image. I just wanted to give some idea of how I would be using the camera. After reading many 'what should I buy posts' I...
Thanks for the swift replies! And yes, both would be good :) I would be planning quite a few pictures in order to make a series. That said, there is something deeply appealing to shooting landscape...
