    Thank you Philip.

It caught my eye as we were leaving the pub so I just focused on the basket and hoped I had judged it correctly. I am really happy with how it turned out.

Re: safe haven for tiny formats

I was surprised by the results to be honest. It dealt rather well with the contrast.

As for the C3 - I love that camera. A lifetime keeper or until I can't lift it anymore :)

Perhaps you need to use an IPA or a porter? At least you can enjoy the leftovers whereas Budweiser is only good for attracting slugs.

I know little about film and developing and nothing about infrared (and that may show) but here's a guess:

That certainly brings some contrast to the scene and I agree that it was soft (though an accurate representation - it is gloomy up here right now ;) ).

Poll: Re: 3. Would you yourself pose nude?

    Of course.

  20. Re: Can you tell me anything about this lens please?

Thank you. My research to date has said the same thing but being new to the medium I wanted to check.
  21. Can you tell me anything about this lens please?

Focal length seems to be 10" measuring from the iris to the film plane.

It came with my 'generic' English Half Plate which I am in the process of repairing.

  23. Re: Whar are the implications of using a thicker ground glass than is standard?

Well until I get the opportunity to fix and test the camera it's going to be guesswork however from the research I have done, English cameras from that period seem to have gone mainly with frosted...

  26. Re: Whar are the implications of using a thicker ground glass than is standard?

    Thank you. :o

I might be able to get a piece of Borosilicate Glass to replace the piece that is in, it's a little more expensive. In your opinion is it worth it to spend about 25% more on this...
  27. Whar are the implications of using a thicker ground glass than is standard?

I am going to create a new GG for my recent find, a half plate field camera from around 1900.

I have measured the current glass as being 1.5mm thick and wondered what the impact would be if I was...
