  2. Re: Why am I getting unexposed area on 4x5 sheet film?

A while ago I eschewed the loupe in favour of a pair of powerful +5.5 reading glasses that cost only £8.95 including P&P on eBay (item # 271669873654). These make it easy to check all the...
  3. Re: Another FujiFilm Price increase + Film Discontinuations

I think we really like FUJI because of the packaging and feeling silly for such a lightweight decision to buy and use it, we then come up with other better sounding reasons for choosing it.

  4. Re: Unknown 5x7 junk shop find - keeper or bin?

There's nowt up with it! Make a bottom for it so you can put it on a modern tripod, get a 4x5 back and mount it on a frame to fit the body, do something with that nasty thing at the front that is...

Re: Trying to decide on a 90mm Lens for 4x5

Yes I was mistaken about the image circle for 5x7, thank you for the correction. The 90mm does allow movements with 4x5. I've used mine for some years now both with and without movements. However,...

Re: Trying to decide on a 90mm Lens for 4x5

None of them but then again I'm mainly working in the landscape. I use a Schneider f6.8 90mm Angulon. Very low cost. Weighs very little. Great coverage (5x7 with no movements).

How is the film positioned? I'm convinced that hanging or clipping film vertically leads to streaks, whereas laying the film down flat (as in a tray) means no streaks. Well none so far for me...
