  1. Re: Kodak Alaris sells off paper and chemical businesses

Yes. So far as I can tell, the business that is being sold is primarily large-roll color print paper and associated chemicals sold to photo-finishers, and has nothing to do with the B&W and color...

Radically different cameras. The Toyo is a monorail, the Canham is a folding field camera, and to my taste one that's very fussy in handling to boot. There are plenty of happy owners of metal...

    Re: Seeking the perfect monorail

Geared + (relatively) lightweight + long FL range + easy transport/setup = $$$$. There's no way around it. If you can compromise on price, one of the Toyo VX125 flavors or a suitably-configured...

Yes, it's not within our core topic areas as defined by the Forum guidelines. But it's perfectly fine as a Lounge topic, and there is no problem at all if you'd like to pursue it there.

    Re: Wista 45 Graflok Back

FWIW, the Wista website in Japan lists Teamwork as their UK distributor. But I see that the Teamwork website no longer lists Wista among their offered brands, so that may be out of date.

B&H currently lists the replacement 4x5 Graflok back for the wooden Wista cameras at $759.99, for the 45SP at $999.99 and for the 45VX and 45RF at $869.99. Unless dealer pricing is radically lower...
  11. Re: Are there alternatives for Schneider Super Angulon XL 210mm to cover 11x14"?

Dan, just to pick a nit, the Grandagon is 200mm, not 210 - Rodenstock made a point of having its big wides be just a bit wider than Schneider's (115 vs 120, 155 vs 165, and 200 vs 210).

Re: Best Wide Angle for Horseman 45HD

Per Horseman, in order to fit the opening in the front standard the diameter of the rear cell must not exceed 65mm. Per Schneider, the maximum diameter of the rear cell of the 80mm SS-XL is 43mm, so...

Thanks for the clarifications, and apologies to Peter for reading too quickly and missing the point the first time he posted it. Yes, that lower link is broken. Thanks for the heads-up.

For me it goes to "https://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum" and works fine. Try clearing your browser cache and see whether that helps.

  25. Re: Greetings I am a new member and a question about Sinaron Digital 1: 4.5 55 mm le

The image circle specification of 125mm is for f/8-11. It's possible that, like the 55 Apo-Grandagon, it would just cover 4x5 at f/22. But the flange-to-film distance problem is fundamental. I...

  28. Re: How much detail is lost enlarging a 4x5 negative to 8X10
