  1. Re: Jobo 2509n issue: rotates freely on center spindle

Make sure the clips that hold the film in position are located correctly , and put the correct amount of liquid's in it .

A litre of developer sloshing around in it has a fair bit of weight behind...
  2. Re: Where's "schneideroptics.com/info/vintage_lens_data" website gone ?

I will have a look in the next few days to see if I can send them a message requesting it being put back up .
You would think a firm with such a rich history in optics would keep all this...
  3. Re: Where's "schneideroptics.com/info/vintage_lens_data" website gone ?

That's the link I've provided in my original post as despite doing various searches , nothing came up on the net or here .
Thank you for the reply though .
  4. Sticky: Re: Where to look for information on LF (mainly) lenses

    Thanks for the link .
Handy that you can select what format you want the lens for and it filters out the unsuitable ones .
    Very helpful .
  5. Sticky: Re: Where to look for information on LF (mainly) lenses

I used to use this website "www.schneideroptics.com/info/vintage_lens_data/large_format_lenses" as a good resource when looking to buy a lens .
Apart from details of the lenses construction and...

Re: Damaged aperture - is it fixable

I don't know about repairing your existing aperture , but would it be possible to replace it as a unit with one of these off ebay ?...
  9. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

On a negative they would do , as no light got past the bits to leave an exposure .

The sample posted is a scan of the negative then inverted to a positive .
So the white dots on the negative are...
  10. Re: Has anyone built a lens hood or compendium hood?

Not fully extended for wide angle , no more than about an inch extended for 75mm .
For the 47mm you might consider getting one of those screw in petal hoods , and if need be , trim it to suit .
  11. Re: Has anyone built a lens hood or compendium hood?

    I've not made one .
I use slot in filters such as ND grads a lot along with such as a yellow filter etc .
You can buy a hood designed to slot into the filter holder and works fine with the HiTech...

Re: NEED HELP! All my negs are empty!

I have a few lenses whose flash sync lever move a bit too freely , I put a piece of electrical insulation tape over it to prevent it getting moved by accident .

    Re: Lund Portable Darkroom?

    That's a very good idea .
Way more than I'd pay for an old suitcase , some tent poles and some lightproof material though .
But it gives me a much better idea on how I can make a similar one for in...

    Re: Schneider xenar 105mm 3.5

    O.P's asking about a 105mm lens , not the 100mm you've linked to.
The one I linked to was the 105mm f/4.5 though , not the 105mm f/3.5 that the O.P asked about .

    The 105mm f/3.5 the O.P isn't a...

It's strange that is missing from this list ( https://www.schneideroptics.com/info/vintage_lens_data/large_format_lenses/xenar/ ) at Schneider .

Make life easy for yourself , get a Paterson Orbital Processor .
It's intended for prints , but with a very minor modification works well processing film .
