  1. Re: Stainless Steel Sink & Oxidation / Rust?

JP & CowanW, thanks - this is great to know!
  2. Re: Stainless Steel Sink & Oxidation / Rust?

Thank you, Keith. I was actually *just about* to get some steel wool - good to know this isn't a good idea! I'm glad to hear your sink isn't leaking despite having a similar corner.
  3. Re: Stainless Steel Sink & Oxidation / Rust?

Thanks, Alan - this is an Arkay sink, as well. It's hard to see in the pictures, but yes - the oxidation is that red-brown rust color. I thought it was developer oxidizing (amazingly) quickly, but...
  4. Stainless Steel Sink & Oxidation / Rust?

    Hi Everyone,

So, I've finally gotten my darkroom sink installed & am processing film in trays in the old basement - great feeling. I have a question about sink care and rust/oxidation. My sink's...
  5. Re: Looking For Lab That Can Process 4x5 Color Negatives

Aside from the little clip marks on my negatives, I can’t recommend DodgeChrome highly enough and have never seen an issue with color shift due to chemicals, though I don’t shoot much C-41. Ask for...

Thanks so much, Louis. It was really a perfect morning...cloudy, but not dreary and the sun poking through at the right times to say hello. Such a gorgeous place.

    And, of course Austin...

    Re: Airport Film Hand Check

Anne, I’ve found no fogging or “sine wave ghosts” in any of the sub800 speed film I’ve sent through scanners. Not yet courages enough to try the box of Tri-X that got checked by accident. The...

I have Precheck and there were no CT scanners that I can recall in Atlanta, though I'm not sure this will remain the case. I can envision TSA wanting to "automate" all bag scanning, which of course...

Why start a thread if you have a sitting fee already determined?

Re: What did you compose at Waters Edge?

This is a great take on the reeds-in-pond subject. Oddly, there's a lot of visual busy-ness in the picture, but yet the viewer feels tranquility. Very nice.
