Hi vinny:
I went to your website, but did not see anything related to cameramaking. Love the Wood Mizer portable sawmill, I want one, and the spalted maple (?) made my mouth water. Did you make a...
There is an awesome "new" invention I am lucky to have in my shop called a milling machine, oh and a drill press too.
Sad to see Deardorff's assembled using a Dremel or whatever that is.

Hello Karl:
When I restored the camera I removed every screw and plugged all the holes with a mixture of epoxy and sawdust before refinishing. Each hole was then re-spotted with a Vix bit to center...
Hey Tin Can:
I cannot see the stabilizers, but will look through the images I have saved of similar Korona's and Gundlach Manhattan's to see if I can find them. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi Greg:
That definitely is my plan. I have a complete wood shop and machine shop, so I can definitely handle these brackets. I appreciate the response very much.

Thank you Keith. I had one of those which I made on a Gundlach camera. It was more inconvenient to use than it looks. I think I still have a dent in my forehead.

Here is the old Korona, back from the dead, saved on it's way to the junk heap.
One of my students came to me and said "There is a plate camera down at the antique mall that...
Howdy folks:
I have a Korona 11x14 that has a back that is very wiggly toward and way from the lens. The standard seems small in the bed grooves. My plan is to silver solder some brass strip to...

That is a cold light head for any enlarger made by Beseler. I believe it was part of their 4x5 to 8x10 conversion for their 45MX enlarger. This allowed you to print 8x10 negatives on a 4x5 enlarger....
I use a lathe with a four jaw chuck and a boring bar. I also cut holes in lens boards for others.

Hi Ari:
Let me know and thanks for the well wishes
Wow! That is an interesting idea. I have found grinding with one grit difficult enough, and I think the transition between areas might look a bit odd, but I will try it to see what it looks like....
Thank you Jim
It was a pleasure to meet you and see some of your carbon prints in person. I also loved seeing the camera you built.
Thanks again

And so, what do you suggest? I grind with three different grits to offer finer or coarser selection. I am interested in what you know.
Thanks for your message
