Re: How do you like your Chamonix 57Fs-2 ?

I'm curious about this exact detail of the 57N 4x5 reducing back as well.
  2. Re: Is there adequately protective flight case that can protect an ULF camera checked

That Pelican looks very good and I imagine it could accommodate the 11x14 Canham. I'm ordering some new cameras/gear in 2020 and I am trying to put thought in adavnce into the practicalities of...
  3. Re: Is there adequately protective flight case that can protect an ULF camera checked

Interesting ideas. I actually have a Rimowa suitcase (too big though) I could adapt but it even seems like it could get damaged unless I had some sort of lightweight but protective inserts.
  4. Is there adequately protective flight case that can protect an ULF camera checked?

Hello, I am wondering about some type of adequate protection for an 11x14 or 8x10 Canham during air travel.

Is there a model/brand of flight case that can do the job when in a travel situation of...

Re: Harman Direct Positive Paper Question

I have done this including enlarging 35mm slides to DPP to obtain a positive. It works. I like this paper for many uses.

    Re: Enlarged Film Negatives Process?

I'll enjoy hearing about how it works out. I bought some Ilford Ortho Plus yesterday to experiment with enlarging some 35mm negatives to 4x5, before I try enlarging my 4x5s to 8x10 and 11x14 for...

  8. Re: Anyone Use Shanghai GP3 Film in 4x5 and 8x10

I've been buying 4x5 Shanghai film via the auction site, and I have gotten good results from it using Rodinal as a developer.

    Re: 8x10 film processing

Does the Jobo 3005 work well for slightly-smaller than 8x10 sizes of film? I am specifically wondering about developing whole plate 6.5" x 8.5" film and 4" x 10" film in the 3005.

Re: Anyone use 5x7 x-ray film

I am using Fuji double sided "5x7" that is available from Z&Z medical. It does not fit in standard 5x7 holders but it fits in 13x18 holders.

    Re: Greetings! New to LF

Like you I started LF with the Horseman L45. I sold it when I got a Chamonix, but now miss it because it is a very solid, precise camera with easy movments. I'm thinking of getting another since I...

    Re: Harman direct positive

Yes, this was a concern with earlier batches but not with current production. I have bought several boxes of it from Freestyle and B&H over the last few years and it always fit perfectly in my 4x5...
  13. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

For the moment my present stock will keep me busy using it in the 13x18 holders for a while. I forgot to mention in my post above that it fits correctly in the printfile 5x7 sleeves I have which is...
  14. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

I finally got to try out the box of "5x7" blue sensitive film I recently bought from ZZMedical. I can confirm that it does NOT fit in my standard Fidelity 5x7 holders as it is slightly too wide, and...
  15. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

I received my 100 sheet box of "5x7" film today, and sure enough it is explicitly marked as 13x18cm on the box.
  16. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

I won't receive the so-called 5x7 film until next week (it is being shipped from a warehouse in New Hampshire?!?) but I went ahead and bought a few NOS 13x18cm Lisco holders that should allow me to...
  17. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

I'll be mildly annoyed if I have to cut 1.5mm off the film because my hope was to avoid cutting the stuff down in general. Although aren't there metric 13x18cm film holders that have the same...
  18. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

Yes, that is what I ordered, and with UPS Ground shipping to me in CA it was $52.17. The shipping does seem a bit extreme but it still offers a lot of shooting opportunities for a reasonable price,...
  19. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

I was pleased to find that it is possible to order a single 100 sheet box of 5x7" x ray film from ZZMedical, although it seems only the blue sensitive stuff is available one box at a time. I ordered...
  20. Re: ChromaGraphica Double Dry Plate Holder Kickstarter - Friday 9 August 2019 Noon la

Tin Can, when you ordered the glass plate blanks did you specify a particular glass type? I was told certain types of glass are stronger/more break resistant, such as the material used in lab glass....
  21. Re: ChromaGraphica Double Dry Plate Holder Kickstarter - Friday 9 August 2019 Noon la

I went for one of the 5x7 holders when only 2 were available at the early price, so I must have done that just before you. I am looking forward to this a lot.
  22. Re: Help with stuck iris in Prontor Professional 1

  26. Re: Correct lens board for 4x5 Chamonix and a few other beginner things

  31. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

  33. Re: Use of X-ray film: technical discussion with example images

I went ahead and bought a 100 sheet box of green sensitive double sided 8x10 from zzmedical, mainly because it was the least costly option they offer. I cut some into 4x5 and shot it and developed it...
  34. Re: ULF Any color film ? (also scanning question)
