    Re: Compound shutter cleaning.

Agreed! Even with the pictorial, I'm sure I would drop something and end up with a pile of useless junk.

  2. Re: Need some help with my Nikkor steel 4x5 tank

I also have the Nikor tank. I too found out the hard way that you need something to contain the films, so I use a large rubber band. It is good for one session at least, I was not about to tempt...

Yep. I use it to the last drop, never have had a problem. :)
  6. Re: Anyone ever try this??? 3D custom board issue

Whoa! That thing looks scary! I spent the money for a Jo-Lo board for my Speed. It was worth the price to avoid the grief of risking my Aero-Ektar to the dreaded drop test. I'm sure even a simple...

Re: DIY light-tight material for bellows

My question is: won't the folds stick to each other when compressed? Even after that stuff cures, it is a bit sticky.

Re: safe haven for tiny formats

It's pretty warm even in most of San Diego County except for the immediate coast. Up to 99º today in El Cajon, about 18 miles east of the coast. :(

    Re: Homemade Bellow Project

Tandy Leather has a thin upholstery leather, not sure if it is too thick or not. Price is for a full hide, but it is quite thin.
  10. Re: Micro table saw for making pinhole cameras.

My grandfather had a 1926 Chevrolet set up to cut cord wood. I remember it had a huge (in my young eyes) saw blade attached to the drive shaft. I'm not sure whatever happened to that beast, but it...

  13. Re: Easily processing single sheets of LF & ULF film with lights on

I have an 11x14 Unicolor drum which I haven't used, but I do use the smaller 8x10 drum to develop four 4x5 sheets at one time. I found that the little plastic spring clips Harbor Freight sells work...

Organized people are depressing, especially to those of us who are handicapped in that department. My closets generally look like a liquor store after an earthquake, not always a pretty site. :( :(...
  17. Re: plastic-dip in a can or spray and smooth with a brush ?

20 Gallons?? Geez! were you drinking that stuff? I used to use the brush or dip stuff, but I do like that spray-on. It is much easier and I don't make such a mess.

Re: Developing 4x5 in the Kitchen?

I have successfully used a Unicolor 8x10 print drum to process four sheets of 4x5. It works well, you just have to be sure to put a spacer between the sheets so they don't slide together while on the...

    Re: Restoring Speed Graphic 25060

One really good resource would be "shutterfinger" on APUG. He is also known as PSS45 on graflex.org. He is a wealth of information on all things graflex.

  21. Re: Any use for a Film Pack Adapter today?

I have three: one Graflex back and two Graphic backs. The InstaxWide option seems to be the more interesting conversion right now, especially i light of Fuji discontinuing all their peel apart film.
  22. Re: Any use for a Film Pack Adapter today?

I've been toying with the idea of using one to adapt a Fujifilm Instax Wide back to my Graflex SLR.

They are probably metric screws. You can find what you need on the McMaster-Carr website. They have just about everything you might want in the way of fasteners.

  27. Re: Freezer full of LF slide film, time capsule

Re: How to test Graflex FP shutter?

  40. Re: Jobo 3025 vs Catlabs CL81 vs whatever else is out there for 8x10 daylight dev

I don't shoot that much 8x10 either, and I have found the Unicolor print drum to be satisfactory. As others have mentioned, you can do only one sheet, but it is still easier for me than trying to...
