If it's one tray the a Cesco Lite is the way to go. It is the one I use. Not cheap but does the job especially with X-ray film.
Thanks for checking in. Michael will get back to you. It will be a great event. Hopefully you can make it. Thanks.
Andrew, nice job on the videos. I'm glad you show what can be done in a small space. So many photographers say I can't do it because I don't have the room. For years I developed 14x17 in a small...
I hope some of you can make it to our event. It should be fun and educational.
Inaugural Monalog Collective Monalogfest
A Black and White Analog Photographers Outing, Print Sharing and...
Carbon transfer printing is a very special process and I'm happy to announce that my good friend Vaughn Hutchins and I are again on the schedule to teach at the Ansel Adams Gallery Workshops in April...
People from all over are welcome.
Wow, guys. We are just trying to offer younger photographers an opportunity. All of us old people are in the group myself included. Is it so bad to look for some younger photographers who may want to...
The portraits are done by two of the members of our group.
Thanks. It was interesting show for me. This is the first time I've had my work in a gallery in the NJ/NYC area. I was delighted to know it was enjoyed by everyone and they want to see more.
We had an opening at Gallery 270 which is part of Bergen County Camera in Westwood New Jersey on Thursday the 11th. The show was very well attended and will be up until January 4, 2022. Stop in if...
It was a joy for me to do this segment. I never thought that I would be asked to do something like this. So glad you enjoyed it and found inspiration in the segment.
Wow, what an awesome adventure. 23,500 ft.! That alone is hard let alone wet plate. Looks like they had plenty to feast on.
Welcome to the forum. I'm in Vancouver Washington or SW Washington, not Portland as everyone thinks. Been here about six years now and the community is great. Get that camera out of storage!...
They will have it on their You Tube channel in a day or two.
Some of you may know that I am a founding member of the Monalog Collective which is based on the East Coast. We have an opening event via Zoom tonight at 7pm EST, 4pm PST. Gallery 270 is a well known...
I heard that Israel retired and he was the best at M&R companies. Not sure who has taken over.
Merg, thank you. The light draws me in and the rest just falls into place. It is all about one's feeling. But I don't need to tell you that.
I've used the film in 14x17. I shoot it at ISO 50 and develop in Pyrocat HD 2:2:100 for 14 minutes for carbon printing. The factor I use is 1.46 for reciprocity and it works well. Almost everything I...
So far April 20-23, 2022 is on. We will start a new post the closer we get to the date next year with updates.
Thanks for that. I'll have to figure out how to change that.
I'm in Vancouver Washington!
I have info about carbon transfer and other assorted things on my channel.
I'm building an Ebony style SW810 out of Walnut as true to the original as I can make it. No titanium but anodized aluminum and it is going to be a sweet camera. I'm about 85% done and if I sold one...
Simon thanks for all you guys do for the community.
Sandy, I love being an alien from another planet and I think Vaughn would join us as well. You stay safe too and keep the inspiration going.
Sandy, I enjoyed the interview. The guys are fun, sometimes a bit too much? So much to cover and they only touched the surface. Hope they have you back. I appreciate the nice comments you made about...
I'm part of a show at the Stirner Gallery in Easton PA which opens on September 3rd. I will have three of my carbon prints in the show and I'm honored to be with this wonderful group of photographic...
Don, thanks for posting this. I'm a bit behind getting this out, my bad. We decided to cancel the first two dates. This weekend and then Labor Day weekend because the cost of lodging is crazy. The...
I was looking forward to teaching again with Vaughn in the park. I still have a reservation as I have a cabin in the park reserved for a couple of days. I'll spend a day on my black oak project...
This is so true. It took me 7 camera builds before I decided on the best purpose built 8x10, 8x20 and 14x17. How are you going to use the camera? Landscapes or portraits will dictate how much bellows...
Luis, thanks. I appreciate you comment. Just to let everyone know that after I finish my 8x10 that I'm building I will not be building anymore cameras. I have currently two 14x17's I need to sell...
I am going to be selling two of my 14x17 cameras. One studio and one field camera. Both are great deals. I also am about 90% done with a custom 8x10 similar to an Ebony Sw 810 that I may sell. How...
Works on my 8x20 and 14x17.
Merg, I love your book. The quality is outstanding and the images are amazing. Your story is something everyone should read. A book I am proud to own.
I'll check with Vaughn to see if you can sign up.
We have the next one in April of 2022. Only 6 months away.
I'm not sure if you can sign up now or not.
I don't think I've ever seen a Hermagis Eidoscope # 0. I have the #1, 2, and 5.
Wow looks like I need to up the price for my 19" Eidoscope #1.
