    Many people had a grandpa or uncle who owned a Speed Graphic.

    "Hasselblad" is a generic word for "big complicated-looking camera."

    I would say that (black and white) 4x5 is *only* worthwhile if you develop your own negatives. Having someone else do it is too expensive and removes most of the control over the process.

    Actually this does not sound like a great combination. Too easy to get lint and dust on your negatives and spilled chemicals on your fabrics.

    I left a 300mm Nikon telephoto on a pedestrian bridge. It wasn't even mine; it was a rental. When I realized my error 10 minutes later, I ran back and it was gone.
