Then, what else do you need to know? The only thing left to worry about is when you're next subject comes for a visit.

Do you give your subjects prints? I'm thinking I should start.

I like the highlights in her eyes.

What does Mimi think of the portrait?

Sharp is an aesthetic decision. Soft is an aesthetic decision. I can't say that one is right or wrong. They just are.

Re: Show us your home made camera...

Why does this thread make me guess that some folks on LFPF have also constructed some very good sounding, rather large DIY horn-loaded audio speakers? In any case, this thread is amazing.

Re: Some early attempts at 4x5

Thanks Vick. I'm already good at blowing unimportant shots, so I'm halfway to my ultimate level of incompetence. At least I'm having fun. Glad I started with some cheap film.

    Some early attempts at 4x5

A new 4x5 user (I'm mostly a Leica guy). Plenty of flaws, but lots of fun with my partially broken Crown Graphic (found a new yoke for the focusing rack; still needs the RF fixed, but I can live...

Hi Rick. Thanks for the tips. I opened the rangefinder housing and confirmed that the cam is intact. However, nothing in the housing moves at all.

I can live with a cable release.
