    Re: Zone VI Camera Question

Good price. Have had a few zone vi over the year 4x5-8x10. All have been built well and never had any issues. The 4x5 still have parts floating around and usually readily available forsale.
  3. Re: San Diego Machine Shop Recommendation?

No offense but it will probably cost you less to find the correct size board than it will be to have a shop do that. Most wouldn't do it for less than the minimum $150 shop rate. They are a business...

Re: Durst CLS 1840 shutter diagram

Yeah. It seems like the 1000 watt head is quite different from the 2000 watt. Until I can find a diagram for my set up , I’m not sure even how it works 100%. The EST 1000N power unit has a plug on...

Trying to figure out why it’s not working.
  7. Re: Ilford Multigrade 500HLE For 8x10 Enlarger Needs Work

Did you send of a 8x10 system or regular?
  8. Re: Ilford Multigrade 500HLE For 8x10 Enlarger Needs Work

They are different. You can't use the standard control pad with the LE system.
  9. Re: Ilford Multigrade 500HLE For 8x10 Enlarger Needs Work

I am not sure apogeebee on Ebay will work on the 810 system but definitely give him a message. If you need the Service manual I can scan mine when I get a chance.
  10. Re: Ilford Multigrade 500HLE For 8x10 Enlarger Needs Work

Have you tried to turn on the light with the door closed, it kills the circuit if open. Do it in a darkened room its not very bright, one of the drawback of the 810 head. No white light focus. Do you...
  11. Re: If one is good 2 must be better. Durst 184 rebuilds

Got them moved into the room. Made a stop gap crank to be able to raise and lower the color one until I find the controller or build/find another hand crank.

Now to figure out why the cls1840...

Re: Newcomers to LF: First Read The Book

Photography by Barbara London and John Upton. Used as a text book for a lot of programs. It should be required reading for anyone starting out.

    Re: 20x24 enlarger easel options

Didn't know they made one in that size. Will have to keep an eye out for one.
  16. Re: If one is good 2 must be better. Durst 184 rebuilds

Yes. I may still get another 45vxl again but plan to get both L184’s up and running for the new darkroom build. Hope not to have to switch the crank back and forth. May have to pick up a basket case...
  17. Re: If one is good 2 must be better. Durst 184 rebuilds

I only have one hand crank unfortunately.
  18. Re: If one is good 2 must be better. Durst 184 rebuilds

  19. Re: Durst L184 lift motor controller schematic

  20. Durst L184 lift motor controller schematic

Like the title says looking for the schematic for the L184 electric lift controller. The one I bought didn’t have the controller and I need to make one. Thanks
  21. Re: If one is good 2 must be better. Durst 184 rebuilds

About 600 miles round trip. It’s about my max to get stuff, same day turn around.
  22. Re: If one is good 2 must be better. Durst 184 rebuilds

Went thru some of the stuff and cleaned up the CLS1840.
  23. Re: If one is good 2 must be better. Durst 184 rebuilds

Found these on Facebook marketplace. Wish one of them had the vacuum baseboard like my old L184.
  24. If one is good 2 must be better. Durst 184 rebuilds

2 Durst 184. Shouldn’t need much but a good cleaning. 1840 color head and Ilford 500
  25. Re: Large format shops near Tacoma, Washington?

I’m in both Tacoma and Portland off and on all year for business. Will have to try that one. Have been to both Glazier and Kenmore but been a long time. Just getting back to LF after a 10yr hiatus....
  26. Re: Large format shops near Tacoma, Washington?

    Re: Rail lubricant?

As said above a dry lubricant is your best bet. any wet lubricant or wax will attract dust and grit and cause scoring of the rails and gears.

    Re: Beseler 45 question

If my memory serves me correctly they are glued same as the 45M series. When I did the conversion years ago I had to carefully separate the bellows and reglue them to the new plate.
