    mine is defective, missing two parts: the little rail stopper underneath the front standard base, and the handle. The bases for the four back screws have broken off ( the knobs...

    old back but has a III front standard..

    well I had some of those cameras and I'm sure that the Perka, Silar, Schaja are made from identical parts, up to the screws, but branded and sold differently. Also Trio Präzisionskamerawerk München....

    my Tech III also has a 90mm cam in it, it gives no probs dropping the bed into the first notch. You always have to push back the inner rail back towards the inner sitting rail in the case.

    Not to forget the rarest 18x24 Technika from 1938/39, only a few manufactured. Huge compared to he standard Technika 9x12.
    weight is 10,1 kilograms without lens.

    I altered the back of a japanese 6,5 x 8,5 ( Tachihara?) to fit 5x7 film holders..
    I wish there was a smaller size close to 4x5..

    I would not recommend this. Every single Technika or Master is fabricated and adjusted to the finest specific measurements..changing the groundglas could alter your focal plane.

    nice one, I had a Perka ' Präzisionskamera München ', the Perka and the Silar looked very much like the Linhofs, as they both were manufactured at the same factory then.
