Hi Bob,
I got a very old Technika 9x12 II/ early III (?).. serial nr 19545
old back but has a III front standard..
greets from munich
well I had some of those cameras and I'm sure that the Perka, Silar, Schaja are made from identical parts, up to the screws, but branded and sold differently. Also Trio Präzisionskamerawerk München....
I dont think these cameras have a direct relation to Linhof, but the others above mentioned do have.
if you look closely and know technical differences you will recognize that I think.
It was a...
my Tech III also has a 90mm cam in it, it gives no probs dropping the bed into the first notch. You always have to push back the inner rail back towards the inner sitting rail in the case.
on my...
little odd one, Technika III but with newer Graflok Linhof back, but flat front
Serial 33414

Not to forget the rarest 18x24 Technika from 1938/39, only a few manufactured. Huge compared to he standard Technika 9x12.
weight is 10,1 kilograms without lens.
Pics taken from my Linhof book.

it could also be an earlier version of an actual Tachihara Hope. Originally maybe it had an half plate back, whats the actual format size of yours?
From The posted photos the hardware very much...
thats right, I also had a Ica Universal Palmos. This and the Juwel have this special back extension. And definitley not a Graflex.
I altered the back of a japanese 6,5 x 8,5 ( Tachihara?) to fit 5x7 film holders..
I wish there was a smaller size close to 4x5..

I would not recommend this. Every single Technika or Master is fabricated and adjusted to the finest specific measurements..changing the groundglas could alter your focal plane.
one or 0,5 mm...
my new toy, japanese whole plate camera ( looks like an old Tachihara Hope) made from nice cherry wood.
back converted to fit 5x7 international double sheet holders.
only about 2 kg

I dont believe this Schiansky is a camera fabricated at the Kamerawerke München. Very different architecture. Copare that to the Perka, or Silar or Staeble cameras, all almost identical to the early...
very early 6x9 Linhof-Camera-Werk München, from the 20s(?) , Nr 4631.

these are nice infos on the Perka, great.
I now have a nice little 6x9 prewar, pre-Technika Präzisionskamera on my workbench for restauration , it's brass label reads 'Linhof Linhof-Camera-Werk...
nice one, I had a Perka ' Präzisionskamera München ', the Perka and the Silar looked very much like the Linhofs, as they both were manufactured at the same factory then.
