    For something unique that's budget friendly, try the Hostels at Pigeon Point (N of Cayucos) and Pescadero (N of Santa Cruz) Lighthouses.

    I'm simply grateful for whatever develops. When I loupe a print and read a license plate on a car parked 100 yards down the road from the camera I'm just blown away.
    However I do this for fun.

    In the Sierra you can find old license plates from the 1940s and 50's about 15' up tree trunks (because of the snow pack) marking snowshoe trails. What reflective coating left on the plates marks...

    If you're driven by a project, by all means take it along.
    For snapshots, there are better tools
