    Goerz Argyle 12" F11 experiences?

Anybody have any experience with the Goerz 12" F11 process lens on 8x10? I have access to one, but I don't know if its worth going through the hassle of getting it. I would like to see if anyone...

    Computar 270mm F9

I was able to rescue this lens from possibly going to the scrap heap mounted on a process camera. I can’t find much info on it other than it has some pretty good coverage for a smaller lens. Any...
  7. Re: Queen & Co. "E. Francais" conversion lens set help

Here is a picture of the hand written card that was pinned on the inside lid of the box the lens came in. Not sure if this information is useful in determining F stop. I find it funny that the card...

I am looking to start using this lens for some wet plate photos but am having difficulty determining F stop. Trying to convert the scale on the lens from mm to F stop. I know there are numerous...

Re: CC Harrison serial # 11,022 help

I finally took a photo with this lens. It was my very first Wet plate 8x10 using the Bostick Sullivan chemistry. I think I over exposed a bit and I might have not developed long enough because I...

Re: Lens caps? Bought or made?

The next design I make will definitely have ribbing. I am just getting started with fusion 360. It’s almost too much for a new user. The fact that for 20$ I can have custom caps for each lens is...

Re: Lens caps? Bought or made?

I actually wound up drilling a hole at a right angle in the round knob and then one down the center into the hand. It turns out that the 3D print utilizes a honeycomb paternities inside the larger...

Re: Lens caps? Bought or made?

I think the rubber cap I made conforms and fits a little too well. Sliding it on and off causes a little bit of suction and is causing the radial drive on the lens to move..... back to the drawing...

Re: Lens caps? Bought or made?

I made one out of multiple layers of cardstock glue together and thin leather glued over the top. I let it sit for two weeks before putting it on lens due to glue fumes from contact cement.

I needed a lens cap for my Harrison lens. I was contemplating on making one because I had previously made one for my 16 1/2 Voigtländer. It was a Pain in the A$$ to say the least with gluing...

    Re: Any stenopeika 810 users?

The wet plate holder is nice but mine is slightly smaller than actually 8 x 10. It’s a bit of a pain to cut tin plates down
  17. Re: 5 x 7 plate holder not fitting 5 x 7 back?

It looks like I’m on the hunt for either new plate holders or 5 x 7 back
  18. 5 x 7 plate holder not fitting 5 x 7 back?

I recently picked up a wooden 5 x 7 plate holder and was surprised to see that it doesn't fit my 5 x 7 film back. The plate holder is double sided and is wider than the 5 x 7 backs that I have. ...

  20. Re: What camera to shoot with out in the field when using HEAVY lenses?

Its a KODAK 2D, Looks to be in pretty good condition. I have had some older field cameras where the bellows were roached beyond repair. It tested the bellows with a flashlight and they seem good.
  21. Re: What camera to shoot with out in the field when using HEAVY lenses?

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a chance to buy an older Kodak field camera with the large front standard and separate back extension. It definitely is not a lightweight camera, but I will be...
  22. What camera to shoot with out in the field when using HEAVY lenses?
