  2. Re: Replicatiing the lensboard for a Perken, Son & Rayment camera

Thanks for posting those photos Ron, I bought a Dremel but have used it very little. I'm not even sure if the pack I bought came with a router bit. Your setup has given me some ideas.
  3. Re: Replicatiing the lensboard for a Perken, Son & Rayment camera

Very interesting - I want to make a similar board for a triple Victo, could you share a photo of your Dremel jig? Did you cut the slots with a Dremel or a handsaw?

Re: What kind of lens has aperture scale in mm?

Scales marked in mm are very useful with convertible sets, where different combinations would give different f stops wide open. I have a Zeiss Protar VII casket set with a barrel marked in mm, double...
  6. Re: Need help with the first complex lens board I've ever seen

Wish I'd seen this thread a bit earlier. It appears to be a section cut from the front standard of an ICA or Zeiss Ideal camera, you just needed to depress the chrome plated lever and rotate the...

Re: Sinar Pan Tilt head from China - Impressed

The head being sold by Catlabs looks quite crappy, not remotely near Sinar quality - even the faked logo looks wrong somehow. They are shamelessly flogging as "Sinar-style". I'd be embarrassed to put...

  39. Re: What can I use to soften the bellows of an Eastman 2D?

Sounds like the best thing will be a new bellows. I don't recommend the 8x10 2D bellows from the Japanese seller on eBay - specially if you want to use the extension rail.
