    Re: jobo cpa2

I'm not sure what tanks you are using but the instructions on an Expert Tank is to aim for 50 rpm.

You need to move the white finger lever to prevent it from reversing the drum direction and then...

    Re: Lock 'n Load (practical)

I always start with the loading gates of the reel at the 9 o'clock position (ie with the entry gates nearest to you) when I am loading the start of the film.

Once I have the film engaged (2~3...
  4. Re: Ilford MG filters... are there 2 different sets?

I have had the same experience

My Grade 4, 4.5 and 5 were giving me lower contrast than Grade 3.5

Confused the heck out of me for a while and I too resorted to printing my Stouffer step wedge...

    Re: Some B&W Interiors...

Reinhold, this is a fabulous shot.

Your control of what I expect was a huge range in subject brightness is exceptional (at least that is my experience of engine sheds)

Re: What did you compose at Waters Edge?

    Wonderful

The composition and print tonality of quiet shots is so hard to get right.

Re: Cleaning A Lens of Fog

    Good to know Bob

I have a couple of old Mamiya lenses that are getting a little foggy/hazy with age.

I have never found anyone who could tell me how to deal with the problem.

    Now I know -...

Re: My trip for fall colors

I've had my 5x4 go over twice in the wind - with varying degrees of mishap.

I now carry a bungee strap which I attach to the underside of the tripod and use my camera bag as ballast.

    I'm sure...

  18. Re: Is Schneider 58mm XL OK with center filter 3c?

I use the same Centre Filter for all of my wide angle lenses.

Re: Sloss Furnaces - Birmingham, AL

It looks like a Bessemer Converter to me ?

It turns pig iron (from a blast furnace) into steel by the injection of oxygen to burn off the carbon impurities.

    Re: Changing bag

I use a Harrison Changing Tent.

I have done for more than 10 years - my darkroom isn't really dark - just very gloomy.

They come in 3 sizes - the Pup for 5x4, the standard tent for 10x8 and the...

    Re: Dartmoor National Park, UK

  26. Re: Setting up a darkroom inside a shipping container

You need to think about an awning/tent/solar screens to get away from the heat from the direct sun on your tin box.
