Re: calling all Durst 184 Laborators

No, if you would read it you'd see that it covers the Rodagon in addition to the Apo-Rodagons. 50-360 Rodagons and 240-360 Apo-Rodagons.

Re: calling all Durst 184 Laborators

Not really; according to Rodenstock, it will cover 8x10 at almost 1:2 wide open. They don't list coverage stopped down. I use it for 1:1 all the time at f/11. A 240 will cover 8x10 wide open up to...

  9. Re: Question regarding the Unicolor Uniroller 352

    I use Unicolor 11x14 drums which hold either 1 11x14 or 2 8x10 sheets each. I use 300 ml of HC-110 Dil B for about 6 min.

Re: Picking up a De Vere 5108

Reviving an old thread, this will probably give you more information about taking apart a 5108 than the manual will. Just remember to lock down the head carrier tightly before removing the head. ...

  14. Re: Recommendations for shipping flash equipment

The last pack I shipped was a 2403, and I used FedExp Ground. With my Fedexp discount it was pretty reasonable. Your other options are USPS and UPS. Good luck. Where in LA are you? L
  15. Re: How to Develop Characteristic Curves in Large Format...Cheaply

I use 4x5 film of the same brand as 8x10 and a dark slide cut in half. One side is Zone VII, the other size is Zone I. Zone I sets the film speed at 0.1 density units above film base plus fog. ...

  17. Re: Have you found exotic developers worth it for 8x10?

My developer of choice is HC-110. Not very exotic, but it works and I've used it for some 25 years. I develop either in drums on 1 gal tanks, HC-110 works fine with either. Every time I try...

The Ries are available with either. My suggestion would be a J100-2 with the J250 head and the 3/8 camera & tripod screw. If it's a Sinar, you can also use the Sinar head on the Ries or any decent...

I'd say it's a Durst L-184 with a Chromega F head. If the head doesn't work, just slap a 12x12 coldlight head and one of your timers and you'll be set! If it works, just make sure you get the fan...
