I've used the Componon-S 135mm in Copal 0 that came with my frst view camera for years.
It does very well in studio. Not an easy lens to find mounted in shutter but worth more than
the used market...
Hey Kev, yes they are the same size.
You can get wooden ones on the auction site or
original metal ones on the US Calumet website.

The 141 is the older style three-way head, a very good product for heavy cameras.
The 075 tripod is again the older version of the current 475 so a safe bet for handling view cameras.
I would say,...
Very undestandable doubts. 8x10 is a very difficult yet seductive format, with inherent pathos and charm.
Yet one should not overemphasize the format and always make sure the medium is coherent with...
Same dilemma, decision made: my 8x10 projects are well finished, it was fun and definetly worth it,
but the 8x10 kit I used will make its way to the classified section very soon.
4x5 is still my...
My Toyo 45C sits on top a Manfrotto Triman 028B and 229 three-way head.
This set up also works well with a heavier 8x10 camera.
Not directly experienced with ball heads but I too would avoid...

Not much information, not even price or date of release.
But stated scan size makes it seem like it
could be called Digital Large Format for real....
Hello,
My intrest in the Wilderness camera has drawn me to this thread.
Would like to note that I've posted messages and received replies
in Italian and not had the posts deleted.

Bidders should make sure there's an instruction manual included.

Tuscany is great in the fall.
Get in touch if you come by and need some info.
Siena-Florence region is my territory.
Ciao,

Will back the mp4 as an efficent and affordable choice.
Ebony is expensive and better suited for field work, probably.
Think about getting an MP4 used and with the money you save
you can get a...
Of course: DB-Sinar. Super cameras.
Hope you can make the 80mm work well for you.

This thread should have been a poll or something
that shows a statistic of age of LF users on this board.
Can't help you with DB mount stuff, since I've no experience with it.
May I ask what camera you are using?
You should first try with the lens only 80mm from the groundglass/focus screen.
(Even if it's a close up lens you should be able to focus@∞
Which brings me to ask: what lenses that can't be...
Please share what your first LF glass was
and whether you still have it/use it.
Mine was a Schneider f5.6 135mm Componon-S in Copal #0
and it came with the 4x5 monorail camera I bought used. ...
The book View Camera Technique has in chapter 12
a very extensive side by side comparison of 65 models
of 4x5 cameras and 33 models of 8x10 cameras.
It is also a great book.

Salve Giorgio,
Hello from Siena!
So, what is the user verdict on this splendid looking machine?
Also: did you have to pay a lot of custom tax/import duties?
Mat
The best and cheapest photo supply store is outside the city center,
in the industrial part of Firenze: it is called Toscana Foto Service.
There used to be a great store near Piazza Santa Croce...
Intresting video about darkrooms in England photographed in 4x5.
Enjoy.

Hello,
Can anyone tell me the exact size
of Cambo focus screen/groundglass?
Haven't been able to find this info on the web.
..should be somewhere around 100x120mm,
but I'd like to know for...
Linos/Rodenstock in Germany will repair it for €150 + shipping to and from.
Try enquiring with them directly.

Wouldn't mind trying this when having to dry a few sheets.

If you do not have a great amount of time to devote to testing there is a lot of literature
regarding various film/paper and developer combinations.
Not just "manufacture's instructions" texts...
Anything PVC and acid free should do.
Not a fan of binders with 4 shots per page,
I prefer single sheets.

Welcome ,
..and good luck with your new challenge.

The worn slot is much more noticeable on the photo than under a magnifying glass.
(where it looks more dusty than worn)
Should I be looking for separation? What other possible damage?
.. I...
No, could've been the previous owner.
Any opinion on the white stuff and possible solution?
Would you recommend having Rodenstock handle the matter?
..in the meantime I'm still shooting with...
Linos/Rodenstock have quoted me €155.00 for service and repair, which is close
to what I paid for the lens 4 years ago. (Don- serial says early 90s lens)
I'm inclided to keep using it as it is...
On the other hand, getting paid to do something you love is a great privilege.
It would be interesting to see and try the software that controls it..
you choose the objects you want in focus on screen and it moves accordingly.
M
Didn't know about these at all, thank you.
Much love for your help.

Hello,
Anyone know where to buy Fuji Neopan Acros 100 4x5 sheets in Europe?
..Robert White doesn't have it and the sellers I know in Italy don't stock it.
Getting it from the US or Japan is very...
..nice to hear Acros Quickloads are still readily available in Japan. Would you mind getting me some?:p
Oh, and welcome. The can is a great start, I like surfaces that reflect the shooter.
M
Thanks everyone.
Very insightful Steve, thanks. Yes, this lens is the same as a Sironar S and
my most used lens, hence the worry.
Since there seems to be no visible effect on image quality...
It looks on the surface in the photo but it is between the elements, I assure you.
Thanks for your replies.

Hello,
Don't know if somebody has already mentioned this:

Designed by KARL GFELLER who designed the Sinar P2.
Leaves me speechless.
