I am using large opal bulb 300W with no glass in the multigrade filter drawer. IR heat filter is present. There is maximum power recommendation by Durst(written on the head housing), the bulb should...
Interesting tones! Can you share details about the film development?
Very nice!
Beautiful!
Seeing your results I definitely have to give it (Fomapan 400) a try. I got 2 x 50 sheets in 9x12 cm, expired...
Very nice!
Thank you, John.

It is definitely OK. It is suitable to all BW papers according to the specifications given by Paterson. You will lose the ability to judge the contrast under safelight, because the prints will appear...

Very nice test!
Since all tej lenses are supposed to cover 5x7, was that the format used in the test?
What is the exact BW filter lens used together with Tele-Xenar 360/5.5? I would like to use it...
Well I dealt with longer times with no problem. 1 - 2 mintes exposure( Fomatone paper), 100W incandescent light bulb. There is an IR filtr between the light source and the film carrier. And I always...
Great tones! Very nice!
Thank you, Paul.
Thank you. I will do my b(igg)est!

Snowless winter
Very funny. :) Finally this thread has become meaningful!
edit: I mean a couple of the latest posts.
Nope. I can assure you there is the exact same nonsense in the original Czech language too. :-)
Thank you, Tom.
Magnitarus 13x18 was an LF enlarger made by Meopta, they made smaller sizes too(10x15 for sure, 9x12 maybe). I had the 13x18 size too for some time. It came with an enlarging Belar...
Thank you, Mark!
Fascinating!
Little bit late to the party. :-)
The naming of Meopta lenses can be a little bit confusing given the fact that they used the same name for enlarging and taking lenses. As a taking lens Belar is...

Sorry for the wrong word chosen. I meant I "pushed" the shadows down in post-processing.
Thanks a lot, Paul!
Yes, the 2 bath handled that range very well. There is a lot detail in the blacks on the negative in fact, I pushed it in the processing a bit to get stronger contrast.

I am not sure If I can see what you seem to not understand here. This is really the basics of exponometry to the very core. Any lightmeter is calibrated to "see" average middle gray and tend to give...

Great pictures, Paul! I can recognize your style without ever checking caption with your name now. It seems that makes me a fan of your work. :)
I finally ended with the CP34-M4 II + HB-75 and I am very happy with those so far. For view cameras I do not need to use the last section, it is just ok for my height. I it is a joy to use in...
It seems that the 150/9 G-Claron would be nice to use with Durst 138 to make prints with 2-5x magnification from 5x7, right? The only enlarging lens covering 5x7 I have is the Componon 240 which is...
Given the input parameters (f/4.5) an old Tessar 15 (or 13,5) cm would be my candidate. Movements will be very limited for 4x5 though. I would not rate is average. I would say classic instead. :)

Nice pictures! Some familiar places. I backpacked via Pico Viejo to Teide with quite a load several years ago.
Interesting!
I like the "Big Blue" too! Quite inspiring for me, I have B&J 5x7 Commercial in the classic grey color and thinking about stripping it off.
Very nice!
