Thanks, Michael. Yes, I have tested CHS with Pyrocat-HD. Eventually, I'm going to work out times for Xtol-R, as it's become my main developer...again. :D
Thanks everyone! Yes, POTA is Marilyn Levy's baby. It's currently in the "alternative to Adotech IV battle". I've decided to make a family of curves using Adotech IV, POTA, Caffenol CL-CN, and D-23....
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Thank you for posting it, Bernice. And thank you, John! I think I would love it if my wife gave me the same for my birthday! :)
Welcome!
Just uploaded part one on YouTube. I'm sampling Xtol, POTA, and Caffenol CL-CN, and comparing them to Adotech IV. In part two (currently testing) I'll sample Pyrocat-HD (mostl likely 2-bath), D-23,...
I assume you have printed the negatives?
Welcome from the best coast!
Begging your pardon but the whites are NOT muddy. They are white. White where they should be white. I do know how to print. I've been printing for over 30 years, and white whites are important to me,...
Sorry, I posted last message twice for some strange reason...
Thank you, Roger. The print is quite nice. Better than I expected, actually. I thought for sure I would have to do a considerable amount of tweaking with the sensitiser, but nailed it first time...
Hi John, I have never used Bergger's copy film. I've only ever used APHS, but that wasn't really a copy film. I have to make an inter-positive first. Thanks for watching the video! I've been making...

I made a carbon transfer print from the same negative used in this video... of course, I made a video of it! :D It's very short.

For tricky burning or dodging situations, I like to use the dye/dodge technique, with frosted mylar and a soft pencil or watered down acrylic paint.
Thank you, Michael!
Wish I could be there for that. I had several exhibits but down on Kyushu. The last one was back in 2014/15.
Thank you, Martin. I had fun playing with it. I might go out with it again with the bit of knowledge that I have gained.
Not a "how to" video. Just me playing with the Reveni, alongside my Minolta F. I stuck in some pics shot with both meters, and give the Reveni thumbs up or down at the end. I stuck the thread here,...
Thank you! And many thanks for subscribing! I'm also a subscriber of your channel...
Thanks, Ashishwakhlu! That was the Fujinon C 600. Wonderful lens. I also use a Nikkor M 450, 355 G-Claron for some wideness...
Thanks, Jim. I'll look them up.
Thanks, Jim. Appreciate it! I learnt how to work in a small space all the years I spent in Japan. One tray is all one needs... It's starting to get banged up. Need to source a replacement. Any advice?

Yup. I was using a tray that was a tad too small. The method that I used in the video to submerge the print quickly and evenly, is one that I have used for many years. I'll be using my usual "larger"...
:D Yes, it's quite a trip from back of camera, to front. Then back again. Repeat.
Kallitype print made from 14x17 double-sided, green latitude. Developed in D-23 1+1 in a flat-bottomed tray. I posted the video in the On Photography section.
Yes, the negative was from that actual spot, from that shoot. I think having the gopro set on super wide angle distorted the distances. One negative was developed for carbon, and the other for...
Thanks, Jim. I now have a much larger, darker, dark cloth. Normally, I leave the dark cloth on, but I wanted the viewers to see the holder going in and out. I probably should have mentioned that....
Thank you, jon.oman, and Darr!
Thank you, Alan. It is indeed a big step up from 8x10....especially in my teeny tiny darkroom! But, I've learnt how to make it work as best as I can...need a new counter though. After 20 years of...
This actually made me emotional. No one has ever said that to me before (okay, maybe my mum did a few times :o ) Thank you very much!
This video I made covers more than one area, so I wasn't quite sure which thread to put it in. I'm out with my 14x17, shooting XRAY film, developing it in my darkroom, and then making a Kallitype...
I decided to give Delta 400 a go and see how it responded to push processing. This was a lot "milder" push test compared to the HP5 test I did recently. I had fun doing it, although my neck will...
That was really cool! Thanks for that, Tin Can!
I look forward to it! Will it be a series?
Thank you kindly, Tin Can!
I'm from Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) originally. We share pretty much the same climate. I know N. Dakota does. My brother is still in Sasktoon. He wasn't happy about the snow dump they got last week,...
Put together a video where I'm pushing HP5 up to EI 25600. Had a lot of fun doin this test, and I'm glad I did it. I also did a Delta 400 push, but that video will have to wait as I haven't edited it...
I always thought that LF started at 4x5. That's 4x5 film. Shoot it in a shoe box, with a pin hole. It's LF. I do love that 6x9 negative I get with my Grand Dad's old Brownie Six-20!
