I bought Permethrin impregnated clothes, all light-colored. I tuck the shirt into my pants and pants legs into my socks (yeah it's geeky). These clothes are good for 70 washings unlike the can...

Good job.
It looks like she shoots a waist level medium format for lots of her shots. Square format. Waist level seem to bring out intimacy. Very nice.
Nice lighting adjustments. Can I ask what you did?
That's interesting. I'm glad you got it fixed.
The OP says it returns automatically to its original position. The manual shutter blade switch doesn't normally return automatically. The shutter release does that. Can the poster show a photo of...
Under a minute is about right. Double that if you use ICE to eliminate dust and hairs.

Sorry it's still no working. I guess you'll need to call Epson service. Is it still under warranty? Some credit cards extend one-year warranties automatically by one year.
I find the focus methods with two knobs tricky when you need a third hand to hold the loupe.
Make sure you download the latest Epsonscan software. Click on Downloads

I'd uninstall both apps and just install Epsonscan.
Did you change Windows software? Check the V850 manual. There are lots of possible reasons and solutions indicated there....
Bill Nice shot. I have a Chamonix 45H-1 too. How do you like yours?
Check with Hugo Zhang from Chamonix.
Here's a comparison I did with a 4x5 Tmax100 between the V850 and Howtek 8000. After sharpening I think they compare favorably zoomed in, but I haven't done prints....
My meter is so old the settings are still tagged ASA
Changing the ASA setting on the meter is chancy when you forget to change it back after the shot and you change or remove the red filter.
OK thanks. something is working weird on my Android operating Samsung tabblet. Other items show instead of my album.
Could someone tell me if they're getting my album in last message i posted or something else? I'm not getting my album.
Bryan: Red Rock Canyon just 20 minutes west of Las Vegas has a great 13 mile road drive thru the canyon These pictures were taken from the car stops long the way so you don't need to hike in hot...
I thought the Black and White slider might be the same as adjusting Levels similar to black and white points on the histogram adjustment in Epsonscan??? How do you do that with Curves?
OK So I can scan flat with no adjustments including black and white points (levels). So when I open the flat scan in Lightroom, which sliders do I use to duplicate the adjustments to the histogram...
Are you using the more accurate scanner lens that works with the film holders rather than the less accurate on used on the platen for 8x10's?
It's not totally clear. Do you get more workable data setting the histogram before the scan or not?
Austin. You really have to stop photographing it and causing all that damage to the shingles.
Nice shots. ;)
You had to say "Yes." You would have made her day. What's wrong with you? ;)
Most regular people don't act that way. I've found they're interested in what I'm doing. Often excited and very curious. Of course, they may go home and tell their friends about the old...
I wonder if using a LF camera makes it seem the photographer is giving special attention to their work? That they're serious about what they're doing. That helps the subjects be more serious as...
Don't oil paint artists decide where to put the subject effectively deciding which lens angle to use? Sculptors? Why should photographers have any less choice?
Living in a 55+ retirement community, I know loads of other older people here have probably thrown most of the film stuff out. Some have kept it especially the more expensive stuff like Leica's....
Rainer, MAybe you can clarify something that I haven't been able too. Some people have said you ought to set the white and black points before the scan by setting them on the scanner's prescan...
Thanks, a little complicated. I found this explanation of why scanners are better wth orange masks than shooting them with a digital camera. Can anyone explain how a scanner does the following...
Can anyone explain in simple terms in 25 words or less the orange mask's purpose and why it creates problems when scanning?
What about using Levels?
Maybe he meant something else. After all, the V850 factory-supplied film holders have height adjustments built-in.
I think Sillverfast and Vuescan are overrated and not worth the money. Stick with free Epsonscan.
