But it is a lens for 9x12cm and doesn’t fully cover 45. Especially if you want to use movements.

Hello Bob:
My friend and I have two 4x5 technikas on hand:
- B541330 1994 Master Technika
- 75314 1962 Super Technika IV
Thank you in advance Bob!
Seems a shame to base your choice this way rather then which lenses are the stellar performers.
After all, regardless of how the lens is stored, you still have to open the camera, maybe drop the bed...
That’s not a wide angle lens. Plus the front diameter of the lens has to be smaller then the hole in the front standard.
The focus plane is critical. If you like the gg and fresnel positioned that way have a service center adjust them so the ground side of your gg is properly positioned.
That tripod and the studio stand are current Linhof products. But the dolly isn’t any more.
What works even better is the Kaiser copy stand with the 40 or 50” column. The column and it’s camera mount attach to the baseboard with one large hand knob.
You put the column in a tripod bag and...
That head was discontinued relatively recently. Well after the origianal Kardan cameras. The easy way to tell is that it has the latest catalog number on it. Way back when those old Kardan cameras...
Have you asked LInhof if they have the handle?
The way I do it is to remove the three screws and the plate at one end, note that sometimes the center, screw may be longer.
Loosen the 3 screws on the other end.
Lift the gg up and slide it out...
The stage that they are mounted on slides on and off. The focus scales are screwed onto that stage from the bottom of the stage. The stage clicks into place.
Your cam is color coded to its infinity...
You can have as many focusing scales as you want. 3 of them fit on the holder and the holders slide on and off to interchange them.
Check your dates.
Each pair of infinity stops are for a specific focal length lens as is each focusing scale. Your infinity stops should be color coded to indicate which lens they are for. If you no longer have the...
The current one is much brighter and is easy to fit.
Use it and see.
Yes, but if that board is for the Copal then your shutter may rub against the side of the recess.
Probably, but don’t you have a Compur shutter?
Make sure if it is an old one that it is for Compur shutters, not Copal.
If it is a recent one it won’t matter.
Enjoy it

Hi Bob,
Would you happen to know the Model and year of manufacture of a Linhof Technika serial no. 2112580?
Thanks

The reason for using a process lens is that it would fit on the lens board. A 240 Rodagon would not.
If he was shipping it to North America he would not pay VAT. Neither would you.
It is camera repair 101. Any camera repair center can do a CLA on a shutter.
But if parts are needed then you would need one that still has parts.
Back in those days Plaubel offered dual stick up shutter controllers. One for shutter speed setting and one for aperture setting. In fact, all later Compur shutters had a geared wheel on the back of...
Later Imagons came in modern Copal shutters as well as Prontor Professional and Compur shutters.
Good, but your 180 is not and never was multi coated. Only the N series are MC.
The current clips are the swing away type. As it has been decades since the older type were made I doubt you can find them. But your gg will need to be repositioned since the fresnel is under it.
No, the Apo Rodagon N series are multi coated your 180 is coated.
No, the V and all Masters used clips so the fresnel is on the top side of the gg. Clips are available from any service center. They also need a slightly longer screw.
