    yes that would be directional current flow and the diode electronic symbol would be indicative some sort of diode there.

    i dont see any sensors looking up, i only see 2 solder connections at each...

    i still dont see the sensors but i do see diode symbols at each of the 9 contact points in that spaghetti etching so each is polarized. each of the 9 contacts also has 2 connections. 9 photo diodes...

    yeah i see it now. can you get a picture from the other side of the board? ... the back. black can be a common of an on off on switch.

    exposure control is possable but it may just be a shutter...

    sensors... where? there are only 4 wires connected... red n green as power, the other 2 says on off most likely.

    my guess, iris n shutter control or a focusing control. youd have to go in further...

    Ya dont need variable caps or make substitutions... replace them with the same values as in the diagram. Simple unsolder job. As caps get old they dry out n qct more like resistors n that causes them...

    that timer depends on capacitors... R/C circuit. more than likely, caps c3 c4 and c5 should be changed and that may solve the inaccuracy problem.

    ben, get the rosco filters. they are cheap and since you'll put it above the negative, it doesnt have to be optically perfect. i installed mine on the diffuser right under my cold light.
