Re: Is my film correct exposed ?

To determine correct exposure, you first need to determine your film speed., so you want a Zone I density to be 0.1 to 0.15 above film base plus fog. Otherwise you're shooting in the dark. Good...

Re: questions about caltar ii-n lenses

For 4x5 a 14" Artar would make a whole lot more sense. Doesn't quite cover 8x10 at infinity, but would a closer distances. A 16.5" Artar would cover 8x10 though. L

I believe I have 92" ceiling height in my darkroom, so a room with a standard 8' ceiling is more than enough. The trick is finding one to buy within a reasonable driving distance. L

Re: Case for Chamonix 11x14 & more

I use 3 cases for my 11x14 Deardorff, one for the camera and dark cloth, one for the holders and one for the lenses, meter, etc. If you try to combine the cases, it will be too heavy to lift! L

Re: AC, Venting, ideas for a Darkroom Shed?

Do what you want, I've got two 220 V, 60 amp services to my garage which houses the darkroom. It feeds the enlarger 1200 W, print dryer 1800 W, a second enlarger 250 w, a chiller, water heater and...

Re: AC, Venting, ideas for a Darkroom Shed?

You want to run conduit feed for the electric with a GFI breaker anyway. Three circuits if possible. One for the enlarger, one for the A/C and one for the rest.

    Re: Darkroom Renovation Phase 1

That's some baseboard! You can always cut it down a bit if needed. I prefer my LPL 4500-II over the 4550 XLG because the baseboard is not as long. I don't print big, so don't need it. I could...

Re: AC, Venting, ideas for a Darkroom Shed?

Yup, I'd put the A/C on the opposite wall to the wet area and put the exhaust over the wet area. That way the AC blows past you & the trays and onto the exhaust. Why are you going to put a filter...
  18. Re: 240mm G-Claron / Dagor / Plasmat cosmetic differences to identify them?

This is the barrel for my 240 G-Claron, Dagor Design, Serial # 10 942 28x. It now lives in a silver Copal 1. Not a hard rule, but typically the Dagor design G-Clarons have serial numbers under 11...
  19. Re: Affordable 8x10: Any Other Game than Intrepid?

    Goerz 10.5" Kenro K/2 f/10 Dagor

Does anyone have any reliable information on this lens and it's use for general photography? I'm trying to decide if it's worth setting in a shutter or keeping as is. Any comments welcome.

    Re: 360mm Lenses for 8x10

I have both 12" and 14" Dagors. The 14" is the MC in black Compur, the latest one made which I bought new in 1988. When I photograph, I nearly always use the 12" Golden Dagor instead of the 14". ...

Re: Goerz Apochromat Artar 12in f/9 coverage

A 12" Dagor more than covers 8x10 and that's what you may have been thinking of. AFAIK, the 8 1/4" Dagor is the shortest Dagor that will cover 810 other than the 6 1/2" WA Dagor. Good luck.

  36. Re: Compatability of Aristo cold lights across Beseler 23c and 45 MXT, and questions
