Thank you! And many thanks for subscribing! I'm also a subscriber of your channel...
Thanks, Ashishwakhlu! That was the Fujinon C 600. Wonderful lens. I also use a Nikkor M 450, 355 G-Claron for some wideness...
Thanks, Jim. I'll look them up.
Thanks, Jim. Appreciate it! I learnt how to work in a small space all the years I spent in Japan. One tray is all one needs... It's starting to get banged up. Need to source a replacement. Any advice?

Yup. I was using a tray that was a tad too small. The method that I used in the video to submerge the print quickly and evenly, is one that I have used for many years. I'll be using my usual "larger"...
:D Yes, it's quite a trip from back of camera, to front. Then back again. Repeat.
Kallitype print made from 14x17 double-sided, green latitude. Developed in D-23 1+1 in a flat-bottomed tray. I posted the video in the On Photography section.
Yes, the negative was from that actual spot, from that shoot. I think having the gopro set on super wide angle distorted the distances. One negative was developed for carbon, and the other for...
Thanks, Jim. I now have a much larger, darker, dark cloth. Normally, I leave the dark cloth on, but I wanted the viewers to see the holder going in and out. I probably should have mentioned that....
Thank you, jon.oman, and Darr!
Thank you, Alan. It is indeed a big step up from 8x10....especially in my teeny tiny darkroom! But, I've learnt how to make it work as best as I can...need a new counter though. After 20 years of...
This actually made me emotional. No one has ever said that to me before (okay, maybe my mum did a few times :o ) Thank you very much!
This video I made covers more than one area, so I wasn't quite sure which thread to put it in. I'm out with my 14x17, shooting XRAY film, developing it in my darkroom, and then making a Kallitype...
I decided to give Delta 400 a go and see how it responded to push processing. This was a lot "milder" push test compared to the HP5 test I did recently. I had fun doing it, although my neck will...
That was really cool! Thanks for that, Tin Can!
I look forward to it! Will it be a series?
Thank you kindly, Tin Can!
I'm from Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) originally. We share pretty much the same climate. I know N. Dakota does. My brother is still in Sasktoon. He wasn't happy about the snow dump they got last week,...
Put together a video where I'm pushing HP5 up to EI 25600. Had a lot of fun doin this test, and I'm glad I did it. I also did a Delta 400 push, but that video will have to wait as I haven't edited it...
I always thought that LF started at 4x5. That's 4x5 film. Shoot it in a shoe box, with a pin hole. It's LF. I do love that 6x9 negative I get with my Grand Dad's old Brownie Six-20!
If you want slightly darker blue sky, or better separation between cloud and sky, with green latitude x-ray film, use a yellow filter. The strongest I have used is a #15.
We have bike thieves up here, but it's usually cut and run, while you're sitting in a coffee shop. I have been looking at an e-bike, but scared it'll get stolen.
Here is part three. I made a stop at a place I've loved to photograph at over the years. It was a little challenging this time with the 8x10, due to strong wind off Kamloops Lake. This time no cacti...
Welcome to the forum, Fusiobear!
I have ONE 14x17 holder from Sandy King. It's a beautiful piece of art. I've used it mainly for XRAY film. I was planning on getting a couple more holders, and some HP5, but that never happened since...
Here is part two...I'm shooting Rollei IR and FP4. Two more episodes to follow after this.

I went on a three-day road trip up the Fraser Canyon, stopping at a few locations that I have enjoyed photographing at over the years. This is part one of a four part series. In part one, I stop at...
I've been using a V750 for several years for negatives up to 8x10. Does a nice job. Good enough for my needs.
With that in the bathroom, who needs a magazine?? :D
I agree. I was quite happy with the results... and it's MUCH cheaper to mix up than buying Adotech IV. That wee bottle doesn't last very long!
I just sign on the matt board. I don't bother with dates. Although when I lived in Japan, they also wanted the date and location. My most recent exhibit over there I omitted dates and locations, to...
Welcome!
That is nothing compared to how much film I have... One freezer full, and starting to take over the fridge in the kitchen. Wife. Not. Happy.
I decided to revisit an old technique, used to reduce the contrast of a scene on film. In this case, black and white film. I will compare the pre-exposed results with one that received no...
Hi everyone!
I put together a short video highlighting some of my favourite Canadian Prairie churches that I've been photographing for about 15 years. The majority are of Ukrainian Orthodox, in...
...and besides, stripping the film destroys its character.
@kiwi7475, that's good to know about the Agfa film. Thanks!
Hi Philippe, sorry for late reply... I'm not sure who the actual manufacturer was. I bought it from CXSOnline. They had their own label on it which read, "Distributed by CXSOnline". Probably Kodak....
Glad it helped you... I have stripped the emulsion and believe me, it's not worth it. You literally cut the films density range in half...which is no good for me as I need negatives with extended DR...
