  5. Re: help! How do I calculate f-stop scale on a copal 0 shutter

    I'm not certain but, something doesn't smell right about this.

    f11 on a 72mm lens is not the same diameter opening as f11 on a 90mm lens.

    Right??

    fX = focal length/hole diameter

    Yup. Also, having a "flat" negative gives you more versatility in the printing process.
  12. Re: Brett Weston & Ansel Adams on Exhibit in OKC March-June . . .

    I just saw an Exhibit of Ansel Adams (48 images) two weeks ago in South Bend. I was underwhelmed.

    I guess there was know way it could have lived up to the build up and all the hype.

    Schneider Angulon f6.8 90mm

    Quality 4x5 and 5x7 Film Holders

    So, my 2014 new years resolution is to minimize my gear and equipment but focus on quality (not quantity).

    Can someone recommend the top two or three holder brands?

    Great thread.

    I like the term "flinch point"

    The other complication in pricing art is you have at least two types of buyers: Speculators and Afficianados.
