Nice image Pedro! I’m suprised you arrive at ISO 12, that sounds really good. I found my Ilford MG IV multigrade to be more like ISO 1–2.

Glad it’s useful to you!
All the info about Schneider Lenses should be in here too: https://lf.animaux.de/lenses
Sure thing. But I was expecting T and B modes to work the same way no matter what model or brand. Apparently that’s not the case.
That’s what I thought and like I said it’s exactly the same problem. Mine is a silver one with T only.
To add to the confusion, my older Synchro Compur does Click-Open-Click-Close in B-Mode and...
Sorry, it’s Compur 3, it was late yesterday.
Yes, forgot to mention it. It’s a cheap reading aid simpy taped to the ground glass.
Thanks, will probably do that too. Had another look inside just now and can imagine what the levers SHOULD do in T-mode, but have not yet grasped what part is not doing its part. I wish there was a...
@Corran were you able to resolve the issue? I have the exact same problem.
A simple 8×10 Back for a Sinar F, mounted to a (slightly flimsy) aux standard. Including bellows, which are slightly stiff but working. The ground glass is rather ground acryllic, and the spring back...
Such a list can never be complete. However a lot of stuff has been added in recent months —> https://lf.animaux.de
I’m happy to add stuff if you provide a source.

This is simply because A is defined as A min, e. g. minimum length for A. In practise you could make your holder as long as you want to.
For reference: http://lf.animaux.de/filmholders
Thanks! There’s no way around testing, I guess. Good to have a starting point though.
To answer myself … for my bathroom it’s about 2 seconds with a diffuse 5W LED bulb in roughly 2,3m height.
Thanks for sharing! Could you say how far away from the contact your bathroom light was, and how much Watt the buld has? This would make it easier to get a good starting point for my own contacts :)
I’ve tried to bundle the lens info on largeformatphotography.info into a searchable and filterable list and joined that together with my representation of the ANI film holder specs here:

BTW, what Mr. Hoover calls »Exposure Width« is the opening of the holder with an open darkslide. That is slightly larger than the film itself.
There is some discussion about 14×17 holders in this thread, with some actual holder builders taking part.
Considering the allowed tolerances for »T« with 14×17 holder add up to slightly more than...
I’ve only just found this after getting it from somewhere else. I tried to do a modern representation of the data.
On my Fidelity and Lisco-Holders M2=1.57mm seems to be correct.
Thanks, I’m happy if this helps people building interesting things! It was fun to do this too.
Also, thanks for pointing out the errors. I think I fixed the translocated and incorrect values. Will...
I did a few paper negatives, I wish I had the time to do a lot of them :·)
I just checked the thickness of Ilford MG IV paper. It’s 0.009" = 0,23mm
Thanks for your input guys! Will look into it and try to correct the errors later on.
Cheers! Hope it helps! My holders can all take print paper too. I wonder how thick that is.
The main a-ha from the original spec was that most values are min- or max-values.
A friend had a copy.
Unsatisfied with Edward A. Hoover’s extract of the specifications, I created a more complete table of the measurements with my own illustrations. It’s in original metric units though.
Now...
Aparently the ANSI-spec has been transfered to the PITA, with all its infamous consequences.
I’d think the variance in the thickness of the film should be well within the tolerances. I have no data though.
Still I’d love to see the original ANSI spec, especially to see if there are more...
Thanks for the insight!
Me too!
I’m happy to doublecheck all the values and update my table if you are OK to share the ANSI file.
It looks like it’s not on the ANSI site anymore. I’ve uploded an updated version from a table by a guy named Hoover here.

It’s not really hard if you use the basis of a Norma or F-standard. The only tricky part is to get the distance to the ground glass right. Just E-Mail me if you have any questions.
Tack så mycket, Jimi! I have a few pictures of building it in a flickr album.
Two test images. (I really need a grid on my ground glass :)

I just built this one »spacer« specifically for the 75mm focussed at infinity. The writing on top states the hyperfocal distances for the snadard aperture numbers:
ƒ5,6 —> 6.1m
ƒ8 —> 4.9m
etc.
...
Here’s my take on the idea. A cardboard tube between two coupling frames. I’m still trying to get a Norma aux standard for the back too. It is really light and a joy to handle.

@Dhuiting do you have a link showing the lens? From a quick google-search it looks more like a barrel lens that can not be mounted on a central shutter. I might be wrong though.
