Are Componon-S lens multi-coated or only the APO HM series?
The event is on Saturday. Stay Saturday night and take your pinhole out to the nearby Indiana Dunes area the next morning.
Igor, very nice series of prints. I especially like that second one.
I'm planning to attend this year. Hopefully with some prints.
I'm the opposite of Tin Can. My father had a darkroom and showed me and my older brother how to use it.
A good cheap option is a Bogen 3021 with a 3047 head. Should be easy to find used.
With baby boomers aging out a lot of enlargers will be coming available in the next few years. Question for younger people will be how to keep those estate enlargers out of the landfill. These...
Can you even buy cut paper larger than 20x24? If not, you will have to use roll paper and cut it yourself. Expensive.
Could this have something to do with someone mounting the lens in a non-original shutter and trying to maintain the original lens spacing?
Very nice image.
I use a home-built test strip maker that slides a 4x8 piece of paper under a one-inch slit. Let's me see that same point in the image with various exposures. Downside is it takes more time because...
Can't you just unscrew the front and back lenses? That would prevent any glass damage.
I like this one. Mysterious and well done.
One possible advantage of buying used is you can sometimes find an entire large format outfit for sale by someone exiting large format by choice or the big sleep. Might get a good bundle price on a...
You might try some warm tone developer.
If you need to put your bag on the ground maybe spray permethrin on a white t-shirt and put that on the ground with your bag on top. If you want to keep permethrin fully away from the bag maybe set...
I thought there was already a procedure for people wanting a critique. Like this one: https://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?172166-Photo-Critique-Truman-Cove-New-Zealand-1987...
I'd say it was best to see what fresh new paper was capable of doing first. Then you can try out the old stuff and see how it compares. Else you will never know what is possible. You may like the...
Here's something I saw on artists doing encaustic on photographs: https://plumbottomgallery.com/collections/randy-lee
Here's a thread right down from yours: https://www.largeformatphotography.info/forum/showthread.php?174327-Automatic-Water-Temperature-Regulator
Well, if that is the case you would be better off going digital and getting it over with in a couple months.
Great image John.
Locally I usually choose to go out photographing on calm days. When traveling you are often at a place on a windy day. In that case I just go with the flow but mostly use medium format. I'm just...
Are you sure that's an 8x10 model. It looks more like a 5x7 model SP-25 modified to do 8x10. Nice modification job though. Makes mine look pretty rough.
I use an Elwood C-2 8x10 with Aristo 1212. My exposure times are pretty normal. Ilford Classic with #2 filter f16 around 20 sec. Your T-12 is the high intensity version of the 1212....
Tuco, Love that first image. My eyes just keep moving.
Would an autistic person ever worry about being autistic?
A piece of non-slip shelf liner?
What's the size of the ground glass on that larger adapter?
I bought a copy for my niece and even her cat liked it.
Nice image. Like the way those horizontal branches work.
I use the Zone VI field camera bags for my large and medium format camera systems. I prefer the latest larger bag style. Mostly use a now unavailable Tamrac shoulder harness to carry the bag on my...
Lake MI Morning, Pentax 67 105mm, 022 Yellow filter
This is what Ilford says in their tech bulletin:
MULTIGRADE papers are coated with an emulsion which is a mixture of three separate emulsions. Each emulsion is a basic blue sensitive emulsion to...
Do you see a difference when looking at the grain with a grain focuser?
Thanks. I've enjoyed looking at your shell series. They would look good on a wall as a group.
This is Pentax 67, 200mm.

It still shows the afterbath being used but most people have dropped that. I've always just...
No need to go online. He just needs to send out status emails about the project to people who have paid him. Most people will be OK with waiting once they know the problems and the plans to solve...
