Re: Advice Chamonix vs. Gibellini on 8x10

Unless I'm missing something, I can't see how a 30mm min bellows is useful for 8x10. even with a 4x5 reducing back, I can't see how it works.

    Re: Polaroid 8x10 processors

I'm not sure which model I have ( I have both the blue and grey models) but I'd bet that the 81-12 will be fine. Also be sure sure which holder you have as you will need the loading tray 81-09 if you...

Re: PMK and open sky blotchiness

I think that's the iso he exposes at. the emulsion would also likely slough off if it was 70c, and would be pretty toasty for hand shuffling in trays ;)

    Re: Misadventures in Jobo-land

I wonder if the union where the tanks join is causing this problem ? Is it all sheets or just a few, and what's the orientation of the sheets in the drum ?

as well as the Lensrental link, which is spot on, I'm using Spray Nine™ on my bag and car. This product is rated for H1N1, MERS etc., and iirc, has been given the ok from Canada Health, to deal with...
  11. Re: Any thoughts on why my film washer is not working?

hmmm. I have a 4x5 Gravity works washer and it works correctly in that the tube fills, then drains the chamber. Don't use it much as I thought it used too much water. As mentioned, check everything...

Re: Folding problem with Intrepid 4x5 MK4 camera

Changing the wood screws should help, look for flat heads. Surprised Intrepid didn't see this problem when they were testing the camera. If you don't care about the looks, I'd not worry about it. If...

  19. Re: Midtone Machines - Automatic Film Processing Machine

Sorry for the fuzziness, I only use Hewes steel reels. the two teeth for the sprocket catch are a godsend for loading film ;)
  20. Re: Midtone Machines - Automatic Film Processing Machine

agree with Daniel re: Jobo reels. If you made the drum and core to accept Jobo steel reels (for 15xx tanks), that could possibly entice Jobo users looking for a smaller, automated unit...like me...

glad you seem to have found the problem with the leaks. wonder of spring clamps can be used to tighten up the mating, until you come to a more long term solution (ideally a replacement back)

  36. Re: Pre-soak for manual 4x5 B&W development in a Jobo tank?

  38. Re: Scanner, enlarger, or contact printer? Which one and why???

  39. Re: Scanner, enlarger, or contact printer? Which one and why???

So, I also find 4x5 contacts a bit too small for my liking. 5x7 however is a really, really nice size.

4x5 will be easier to enlarge as those enlargers are all over the place and easy to find....

Re: Intellifaucet D250 - sticking valves

Wonder if it's related to hardness of water ? Also, do you have CLR where u are ? It's for clearing Calcium, Lime and Rust (CLR) and possibly a stronger alternative to acetic acid.
