    Re: Photex/Verito Mystery Lens

They are to cemented doublets. I believe your Versar suspicions are correct. Didn't realize there was a 15in. f/5 Verito. That part had me confused but what you describe makes sense. I'll get...

    Photex/Verito Mystery Lens

A bit of a mystery lens. The barrel says Photex 16 1/2" f/6 in a non functioning studio shutter. When I unscrewed the rear element, I found the 15 in. f/5 Verito branding on both the front and rear...

Re: Front element chip: How bad is this?

Thank you for the quick reply. It is just 1 chip. The 3rd image just shows the piece of glass loose on the inside of the lens. I am making a lensboard for it now to test it out.

When you first start rinsing the plate, it will look slimy. Keep rinsing until the surface no longer looks slimy.
  34. Re: Please help! Ambrotypes are turning blue ...

Kent is correct. The color is from too short a development time or not rinsing it enough before fixing.

    Re: Repairing Zone VI Enlarger

I have the same problem with mine. The plastic track just wears out at the popular heights. For me, I changed the height of the base board to compensate. Not a great fix, but works for now.
