Thanks, John. I really like the contrast and high tones, they work together splendidly in this photo.

Re: New Arca-type Lever Clamp from FLM

From what I can tell, the q-Base system is Arca-compatible, so yes the FLM clamp will accept those plates.

Re: New Arca-type Lever Clamp from FLM

    Hi Bill,
As you can see in the attached drawing, the knob is offset very slightly.
You’d attach a plate to your Dorff, then the clamp would work unimpeded.
    Thanks

New Arca-type Lever Clamp from FLM

Yes, we're no longer in 2009, we now have our own lever clamp that is also Arca-compatible.
Very strong and secure, this is only the first of three clamps.

This clamp is the QLB-50. We'll also...

It's quite lovely, cooler weather much of the time, and people leave you alone in a friendly way.

Cheapest way to do digital IR, if you already have a dumbphone.

iPhone while holding the IR72 filter in front of the lens.
De-saturated, then adjusted levels in PS.

Absolutely, making images is what it's all about, not fondling a precious piece of gear.

Re: Proper storage for Pyrocat HD components?

I receive Pyro from Bostick & Sullivan, two 500mL bottles.
Bottle A is dry, the instructions say to mix with water only when needed.
Bottle B is already mixed. Shelf life is about a year this way.

    Re: Rollei Infrared 400

If you use the Reciprocity app, it has data on Rollei IR400.
Using a rangefinder camera is great. Mine has AE and AF, so I set the ASA to 200, and shoot with the IR72 filter attached.

The great work on this thread has me considering a converted digital camera, but I don't think anyone converts digital cameras to higher than 850nm.

Are you using a 950nm filter on the lens, or is your camera converted to IR?
