PS Do ex-teachers get the discount?

How did you get #2 Kaiser slimlite for $88.00 I just tried to buy it and they wanted $109.95. Plus they didn't even have it in stock and was backordered. Please advise. Thanks....

    Re: Epson V750 and V850

If you want to post them on the internet, or show them on your computer screen or on a UHDTV, you have to digitize them. Hence a scanner, a necessary "evil". :)

Re: Aspect ratio of 10x8 and 5x4?

You seem to be disagreeing with yourself. Why? On the one hand you say "...I can;t really previsualize a crop very well..." I agree. If I'm shooting 4:3, and just try to get everything in there...

Actually it is important to shoot the format you intend to use later in the camera rather than just relying on cropping to the format in post. Determining the best crop and framing is easier to see...

I don't develop my own film, but send it out. So, I'm wondering. How do you develop 8x10 film in a 10x8 tray? Do you do half first than the other half? Or do you rotate the tray?

Re: Aspect ratio of 10x8 and 5x4?

I believe that whether your DSLR 35mm says 4:5 or 5:4, the longer end is always the horizontal top and bottom sides with the camera in normal landscape position. So you have to consider that when...

Very good advice Peter. Your experiences in life naturally lead me to the oft quoted expression it's not the destination that counts, but the journey.

NYC has great Italian food all year. Little Italy doesn't shut down either. So if you can miss San Gennaro, schedule everything later in October to catch both the foliage and the food.
