These are great ideas. I can't wait to see all of this. As a 14x17 shooter it is interesting.

  10. Re: Out With My 14x17 DIY Camera & XRAY Film

Andrew, nice job on the videos. I'm glad you show what can be done in a small space. So many photographers say I can't do it because I don't have the room. For years I developed 14x17 in a small...

  25. Re: Anyone Use Shanghai GP3 Film in 4x5 and 8x10

Merg, thank you. The light draws me in and the rest just falls into place. It is all about one's feeling. But I don't need to tell you that.
  26. Re: Anyone Use Shanghai GP3 Film in 4x5 and 8x10

I've used the film in 14x17. I shoot it at ISO 50 and develop in Pyrocat HD 2:2:100 for 14 minutes for carbon printing. The factor I use is 1.46 for reciprocity and it works well. Almost everything I...

  38. Re: Any suggestions on who to commission to help me build a camera?

This is so true. It took me 7 camera builds before I decided on the best purpose built 8x10, 8x20 and 14x17. How are you going to use the camera? Landscapes or portraits will dictate how much bellows...
  39. Re: Any suggestions on who to commission to help me build a camera?
