    Re: Quarantine Pictures Any Format

I like this image, and somehow the color enhances the subject for me. Did you do any split toning in your post processing?

Did you use the film as the camera original? I like the effect.

Re: The Setup and the Shot

    Now that’s a bellows!

Oh, and a 30 minute exposure? No big deal. Besides you could go grill dinner while waiting.
  4. Re: Any thoughts on why my film washer is not working?

You know, i think this idea has merit. It would mimic the “ 3 trays of fresh water” technique, allowing you to pick your soak time for each cycle—say 5 minutes. This might be less efficient for...

    Re: Lets See Your Darkroom

Progress for tools for my darkroom.

    202103202104

The idea is to punch 1/16” holes in the corner of sheet film and hang them with this. The top of the sandwich is balsa wood so they may not be...

Igor this has a really nice balance between tones, symmetrical elements, and asymmetrical elements.

Re: Some B&W Town & City Impressions...

This is a very nice abstraction of a common scene (assuming that is what you were after). I like it.

    Re: Moving away from Adobe

Another option is Paint Shop Pro, an under appreciated software. They only have a PC version however. I’m kind of with Paulbearden on the Lightroom suggestion. I have version 1.4 on my Mac and it is...

    Re: Kenny Rogers RIP

It’s funny no one has yet mentioned is 1967 hit, “I just dropped in”. That’s my early memory of Kenny Rogers.

    Re: Urbex in Large Format

I really like this. I especially like the detail in the windows. Can you tell us which Fuji lens series you used? 105 seems quite wide for a 13x18.

    Re: The Road

The nice thing about intimate landscapes in other parts of the world is... I get to see other parts of the world, places I probably will not visit in my lifetime.
  13. Re: Another digital versus analog showdown

Just think of the darkroom/finishing areas you could build.
  14. Re: Your Best Photograph from the Previous Month - Critique and Discussion Encouraged

Ken I like this crop, the only problem is it removes an area of high interest for me—that is—the pool at the bottom.

Hmmm, maybe I’ll give second thought to picking one of those lenses up. They seem to be ubiquitous on ‘that’ site.

    Re: web page

Nicely done! I like the lack of flying images, boxes, colors, junk you see so often in a professional photographers website. Plus they take forever to load.

My family too during my growing up years. We had good friends we’d all share our Canyonlands, Lake Powell, and southwestern Colorado vacations with all the time. It was a great experience.

  26. Re: How do you like your Chamonix 57Fs-2 ?

Still a little confused. I’m under the impression that the back on the horizontal only model is not removable. Perhaps that’s an erroneous assumption on my part?
  27. Re: How do you like your Chamonix 57Fs-2 ?

Are we sure the horizontal only model will accept any reducing back?

Re: safe haven for tiny formats

I think the outside reflection makes the perfect counterpoint in this photo. It takes a common object for still life and makes it unique.
