  1. Re: Super Chromega D4 - toss it or upgrade it?

Seems the Super Chromega heads are not that expensive on ebay. The power supply was pretty simple and could be reproduced rather easily, assuming the head does not come with the power supply.
  2. Re: Durst L1840 Enlarger 8x10 10x10--Everything you wanted to know...

I scanned my archives and I did not take many pictures of my CLS2000 when I was preparing it for use. Nothing that would help here.

I can't offer any useful information on the filters. I did not take my CLS2000 head apart that far. In fact the CLS2000 I got had never been taken apart before and was essentially untampered and in...

    Nice, thanks for sharing.

This may not apply to still photography, but I understand some Kern Yvar Cine lenses were only coated on front and rear surfaces. Therefore, the internal surfaces could...

Re: Peak Omega/Micromega.. why so expensive??

Do you have the manual? You can put a coin on the area of interest, then center the coin in the hole on the base of the focuser.

Re: 3D Printed Lens Boards Anyone?

I think just the software cost more than ten lensboards. Assuming one send the file away for printing.
Maybe I'm mistaken. Which software is needed to make these?

  8. Re: Tele for LF landscape with background compression (8x10)

Perspective ('compression') is only affected by subject distance. Film format or lens have no effect.
You are on the right track, cropping your 360mm images to see if you would like the 600.

    Re: Fstop timing

You can easily get into really long exposure times with f-stop timing. For example if you need to increase a one-second exposure by 60 stops, your exposure will be longer than the estimated history...
  12. Re: Exposure compensation with bellows question.

The only measurement I usually do is on the ground glass. Like in post #2. Stops of exposure error are 2x the magnification of the image.

The Schneider Componon-S 135 and 150 both perform better at 3X >6x>12x. The MTF curves are very similar except at the far edge of the 135.

Not sure I understand about the transformer. Where to you live? In USA most all homes have 220v. Also confusing is the CLS1840 uses a 120V lamp.
