The post right before yours has a link to the manual. Do you have the manual Dichroic head or the closed loop head? There's a spring latch on the back that attaches the head to the frame. L

Basically put an ad in Craigslist. Sinks have no great value unless you’re looking for one. If you can get a few bills and find someone to haul it away you’re ahead of the game.
Not just No, but Hell NO!!!! I've given two Dursts S-138 away, and still have the SM-183. Look around, you'll find one!
You can get additional condensers on the auction site. There are a gozillion posts on the 138 on this site. Search for them and read them.
Bernice, I've pretty much got every lens I will ever need and more until I leave the planet. Like I've said before more than once, most lenses are better than most photographers!
Too much research will only confuse you!!
I like the concept that the fancy lenses are the ones you can’t afford. That said, my 810 lenses are:
First lens 12” dagor
Second lens 6.5” WA dagor
Third lens 19” Artar
Fourth lens 24”artar...
Or they could generally move the camera forward or back a few steps!
Guess we need a sticky on how to use the search function on the website and Google!!!
I use a Goerz 6.5" WA Dagor. If you have a 300 mm lens, an 210-240 G-Claron may be a good second lens. L
What size negatives are you enlarging with a 14”lens?
Have you tried a different browser? I haven't used Safari in years, use TenFourFox or Google Chrome. L
A photo of the back (not the dinner) might help. L
So dude, have you ever posted your work on this forum? I bet it's lovely!!!
++1!!!!!!!!
Have some of his 57 contact prints also. They’re like little jewels. I’d forgotten about his changing his 57 back. Thanks for the reminder!
Dave, you are an excellent printer. Why not concentrate on whichever format is most comfortable for you and don't worry so much about the negative size. As Bernice said, 5x7 is an excellent...
My thoughts exactly, but he'll probably figure it out once he sees the negative. L
Deardorff V8 with a 12" Dagor. For portraits, may use a 14" Dagor or a 16.5" Artar. L
Only you can choose between slight diffraction and lack of depth of field. Me? I'll take diffraction!
I sold the Zone VI I bought also, thank goodness, I didn't sell my Dorff to pay for it! Hated the Wisner/Zone VI camera!
Refurbished 1951 5x7 on left, and a 1987 camera on right, incidentally, assembled by Ken Hough who refurbished the camera on the left. Purchased new in 1987 from Central Camera in Chicago. L

Kind of what I just said
I rather doubt that you'll see much-if any- difference. You're already using a good enlarging lens.
355 G Claron in Copal 3! Best bang for the buck!
I have 7 of these heads, all mint with 3/8-16 screws. Different vintages, three have the built in mount base, 4 have the 3/8" post adaptor. One is mounted on a very large Gitzo tripod, the others...
Keith, It's pretty well documented that old parts were used until gone. The knobs and hardware are stainless, so I think that alone takes it out of the Chicago realm. The stenciling on the...
Has a metal plate and is recent I suspect post 1990.
Both should fit on a flat board with a hole as per above. If you have the lock ring a slightly oversized hole will work.
The Deardorff Special was a 5x7 camera with a Special 4x5 back. When I bought mine new in 1987, it came with a revolving 4x5 back. My two 4x5 Specials showing how the nameplate changed in 50 some...
I have a 121 SA in an older Compur shutter that is not a direct swap to a newer shutter. If you really want to swap, suggest you send it to SKG and let him do the swap with the corresponding adaptor...
Measured my Nega 138 as per the photo below. You may need to modify your Nega 138 to fit your enlarger. The metal pieces that hold the white pins on mine are riveted on. On yours it looks like...
Post a photo of your dilemma to see if we can help.
Why areyou stopping down to F 45? If they’re not classic lenses they’re sharpest at F 22 if classic that’s a different story. You’re shooting at infinity so you don’t need the DOF, Or use a little...
The press is a Great find, much harder to find than the enlargers. I paid $700 for mine shipped, in as new condition! Free is better, howerver. L
My latest V8 (photos by previous owner), I believe the fact that there is no Serial # and from the nameplate that it is a TN manufactured camera. It also has stainless steel knobs and I believe all...
Those are “baby” enlargers I thought you were talking about an 8x10 Saltzman or Fotar. Should be an easy fit in a wagon or SUV. I transported an 810 DeVere 1000 miles in a Honda Odyssey!
The 3 lenses I carry with my 8x10 camera are the 12” Dagor a 19” Artar and for wide a 6.5” WA Dagor!
You can get NOS lamps at the auction site for $5-$7 per bulb! I've got over 100 I've bought from 4 to 20 at a time! L
I use a dark slide for a lens shade! L
