Tin Can. Ya makin' me crazy.
I’ve been brewing my own for years. I think I started after finding the formulas in Ansel Adams books.
Richard, your D-76 recipe seems to be missing the hydroquinine. I think you should give it...
Looks more like a developer problem than a drying problem. The whole sheet looks unevenly developed.
Love the detailed wordiness. Inspiring accomplishment John!
Here is one finished today. Handcolored, coffee toned cyanotype from 5x7 negative made with homebrew handheld camera.

Here is another which was taken to see the depth of field and focus distance. The camera is permanently set to focus at 13 feet. Handheld again and contact printed on Bergger paper.

Here is another contact print. This time on Bergger warmtone paper. I handheld this shot and composed through the popup viewfinder. The close focus was made possible with +1 close up supplemental...
I have never used a monobath, but I like the idea. It should work well for you, but make sure you keep the correct time, temperature, and agitation, and you should be able to get it right.
Wow! Love this work. Very moving.
Alex, very nicely arranged.

I have used the the Arista chemicals available in the US. It calls for 38 degrees. The warmer temps are easier for me to keep accurate. Drums are easier as well because keeping the solution at...
Just looking at your test exposures as they look on my ipad I can give you a guess but it depends of the digital scan which is another layer of complexity. They all look over exposed but the one in...
Here is another coffee toned cyanotype. This time taken with my cobbled together steampunk kodak 5x7 instamatic camera. 210247

I made the camera to make contact prints for alternate processes. Here is coffee toned cyanotype made from a handheld shot with this camera.

Here is a finished camera. I ended up focusing the lens at 13 feet and adding a rangefinder so I can see where 13 feet is! I have also experimented with a close up filter and can make sharp head...
Just downloaded Digital DoF. Free and simple and has large format.
Here is a 5x7 cyanotype toned in coffee and watercolors. After halloween.

That’s a lot of trays!
I like the Patterson trays. Very rigid.

Not sure if this fits architecture. It is human made.

8x10 wet print from 5x7 negative.
Cozy indeed and very workable as long as keeps the light out. What size is that sink?

This is very interesting to me. I use a vitamin C and Phenidone developer. I wonder what the developing agent is that is present in the RC papers.

David. Careful, you may get my creative juices flowing. That would be out of sight!

Otto f. Don’t see any moose here where I photograph. I find my neighborhood pretty interesting with plenty to photograph within walking distance. With the pouch (my wife calls it a purse!) I can...
I recommend that good sailors stay out of the water and keep their bilge dry. ;^}

I like to go for walks and take pictures in my neighbourhood. Film holders are the clumsy things to manage while walking about. Had an idea for a 5x7 film holder pouch made from a bluejean pant leg...
I am currently working out the processing work flow in my little darkroom with 5 foot sink. For washing I am using a 11x14 Doran washing tray and limiting each session to 4 8x10 or 2 11x14 prints. ...
Just finish running 120 roll film tests of Catlabs 80 using the ole Fred Picker method. It cam out to 80 ASA for me with a good development time of 6:30 at 68 deg. In Rodinal 1:25. So it looks to...
Dramatic Chris! I think clouds are so important to this picture.
Another shot. This time from the west side of my back "yard". Same set up as before.

Here is a 5x7 contact printed cyanotype. The monster growing in the park behind my condo.

Just experimenting with a new to me camera, lens and film. It definitely needs some clouds in the sky, and the print doesn't lay flat on the scanner.
8x10 print on Bergger paper. Film was...
Fun to watch. The sub is most definitely a static display. The big walk in door on the side is a dead give away. We have the Nautilus here as a museum. Space and lighting would be a challenge.
