    Re: CineStill 400Dynamic in 4x5

I just received a nice, professional email from Cinestill.
They're hoping to get the 4x5 400D film out this month.
It looks like they've given up on 220 for the short term, so backers of the 220...

    Re: Found Photographs

I only know 4/4 as a time signature in music, or as
    4/4 = 1 (whole plate?), or as April 4th.
Maybe someone else will chime in with more info...

    Re: Wollensak Verito 18 weight?

    Studio shutters are "B" only.
The shutter blades form the aperture.
When operating properly, they start closed, open to the set aperture, and close again.
There is no clockwork timing mechanism.

Re: New here and looking for lens advice

It looks like the hole in your lensboard is for a Copal #3 shutter, or similar....you need a lensboard with a hole for a Copal #1.
Don't get discouraged...many of us have been down that path.

The long ones are good to use with cameras that have folding hoods behind the ground glass, and/or for more distance from the ground glass.

Re: How to Tighten Fine Focus on Toyo 810G?

Use photo paper to check for light leaks in holders...much cheaper than film!
Most old holders can use a re-taping.

Re: Help me choose 4x5 camera to buy in 2022

"Skin", in this context, is relative.
$1000, to me, is a lot of money...I'd think long and hard before spending that much on anything.
