It appears that mine were from Shen Hao. That's likely the difference. They do not have the white dots. I will probably just use a small peice of white gaffer tape. Thanks for all comments.

I just acquired a couple of Chamonix 4x5 film holders. Nice....but have a question for anyone familiar with or used them. How do you tell whether a sheet of film has been exposed? Unlike most, it...
I have had some recent issues with more dust than usual on my 4x5 and 120. It was clearly on the negative. I have surmised that it was on the film before development or occurred during the drying...
Thanks Doremus. I still have the negative. Will scan it but not optimistic. I did spot meter for the shadows (zone 4). I think the contrast level was still too high. I'll take a pic of the...
I recently gave 510 Pyro developer a try with Ilford H5+ and D-100. While I still want to evaluate further, my initial impression is positive. There was an exception. On one sheet of D-100 I rated...
I've tried Viewscan, Epson scan, Silverfast and labpro for my BW negatives. Seems all but the Epson Scan give you files that when imported into Lightroom require all the sliders work opposite as...
This makes sense to me. So, I I am really wanting to increase emphasis on a foreground/or background element using rear tilt, then I must use the traditional iterative focusing methodology vs the...
Thank you. That is one of the questions i had. Your comment makes sense.
Thank you. The more recent responses were of much more value than the earlier ones.
I just acquired a 45F2 with asymmetrical tilt. My question...If I use rear tilt to alter foreground perspective, should I do this before applying focus? And d0 I focus foreground or background...
I am just returning to LF black and white after a number of years. I used to meter through filters with my Pentax spot. Now as I refresh some of my techniques and reading this thread, my head is...
Thanks for that advice
Thanks, Alan. I'm enjoying getting back into LF after a long time. I appreciate your comments.
Hello...From Lee's Summit area here, at least a little east in the country. I too returned to shooting 4x5. Did so in the early 90's but switched back to smaller format and then to digital in 2006....
Well, some of my initial return to 4x5 have been somewhat encouraging. I shot HP5 rated at 320 and reduced development by about 10% (~8min), Illford DD-X 1:4. Still refining my metering style using...

Thank you for your comments. I can see the subtle difference in the images you mentioned. Makes me interested in trying the Delta 100 and making some comparisons. FA-1027 is also a consideration. ...
I looked for this app on Android but it does not show up. I noticed these posts are a couple years old. Maybe the app no longer active, or different name?
Great question. I've been pulling my hair out over the same issue. Anti Newton for 4x5 or larger seems almost impossible to find. I too would love to know alternative products, or procedures, to...
Okay, I am returning to 4x5 after quite a few years. I have a trip planned next week and will be shooting Illford HP5+. I shoot landscapes only. I want to make sure I have good detail in the...
First of all, I want to thank those that have responded. I realize and appreciate the time and thought some of these responses took, and think it speaks to the character of this group. There is...
I am returning to 4x5 BW film after about 30 yrs. I will be scanning my negatives using Epson 850 Scanner and processing in Lightroom & Photoshop. My question is, given the capabilities of the...
I was considering purchasing the Nikkor T ED 360 to use with my Tachihara. I take mostly landscapes. Will this lens work with my camera? Or should I opt for a 300? Any recommendations?
