Re: Can this lens be salvaged?

These are all post cleaning. I was using the two bad ones for test prints, but I could not see any difference between the prints made with those and the newer lenses.

Re: Can this lens be salvaged?

How much did you pay after the refund? If it was like $100, I'd keep it and clean it. It will work fine likely.
I had enlarging lens cleaning day a while back. When you hold lenses up to the light,...

Re: Help with Super Topcor 5,6/120?

Good pickup Havoc. The Seiko shutters need to have the shutter cocked.
In terms of the VXM lever, the shutter should have a self timer on 'V.'

    Re: Durst TRA 450 Alternatives

With some work you could reproduce the EST450 non-regulated AC supply with an appropriate sized 24V 250VA AC transformer. The schematic shows the connections here. There is a relay built in to the...

Thank you for the picture. I have never removed a Seiko shutter from it's lensboard before. Since the flange focal length is measured on these lenses from the 4 machined pads of the lensboard, any...

Can you post a picture. I don't see any brass ring on the back of my Horseman 120, or any of the other lenses for that matter.

One more thing you can't do with digital in-camera.

You didn't remove the screw holding this brass ring and remove the brass ring in the picture did you? If that is the case you probably need to take the shutter apart to re-position the pins in the...

That 120mm has the biggest image circle of the Horseman 6x9cm lenses and can be used with the 4x5in step-up back. I used mine on my 4x5 Horseman FA for a while, until I got a lens allowing movements....

  19. Poll: Re: Gauging interest in scanning service based on DT Cultural Heritage Phase One syst

That is clever. In that case one could do the 'scan' of the original scene and do away with the film.
  20. Poll: Re: Gauging interest in scanning service based on DT Cultural Heritage Phase One syst

Those links seem to indicate the hardware is an optical 'instant capture' system rather than a scanner.

  23. Re: Film curves and density range in reversal development

That is a good question. Do you have a way to make H&D curves yourself?
  24. Re: Making separation negatives from color positive sheet film

  26. Re: How hard is it to replace the bellows of Kodak Master View 810

Re: Help with finding a proper cable release

You don't say if the lens is mounted with the index pin. If so, you can remove the pin and rotate the shutter 45 degrees and see if that solves the problem.
  35. Re: Neutral Density Filters with V54 Cold Light head

I'd agree that the ND filters for multigrade printing could be probably anything close to ND, but if concerned, I have read the Rosco Cinegel are more closely color neutral.

    Re: Need densitometer reading
