The A has axis tilts, the B has base tilts, the A/B has both. Standard film holders will fit.

Thank you for the kind words, Daniel. But all that is a long time ago...
I meant a proper 4x5 sliding back like this:...
Wouldn't a Sinar Sliding back be faster, with no parallax issues?

My humble suggestions, based on my philosophy of simple solutions:
1. If it is going to be collodion and ferrotyping, you aren't looking for 100 lpm in the corners. Wouldn't a symmetrical lens do...
Actually, both types of bellows could be used without the special lens board. The one that allowed the use of the special lens board had a threaded ring to accommodate the board.

The Wista wide angle bellows can be used with a 90mm lens on a flat board. A 75mm lens could probably be used with a recessed board. It extends to ~185mm, so a 180mm lens can be used at infinity. The...
1. The Wista 45D (both the wood finish and black versions) and the 45SP have the "micro-swing" knobs. The SP has front swing, the 45D doesn't. They also share the same back with the clips on top.
2....
In addition to what Oren said, half-plate film backs and holders were also made. There is considerable variation in the backs and holders. Different backs were specific to Rittreck, Tachihara, Anba...
The idea of a compact RF-coupled 4x5 camera is to be welcomed. Cameras like the Wista RF and Linhof do need substantial improvement in design and usability.
However, I'm not sure how the film...
Thanks, Louis.
Karl, I can get you any accessories you need for the Toyo system. Please send me a message, or better, an email and we'll take it from there.

Seiko shutters were made by the same company that makes Seiko watches, and is now part of the Seiko Epson group. The #0 shutters will take the same lens cells as Copal / Compur, etc. The Seiko #1...
Use a compendium hood on your camera. It will be good for every lens you own, not just the 180mm.

Some shutters have a small screw that limits the aperture. Remove the screw and it opens up fully.

Does this help? http://www.thalmann.com/largeformat/t.htm

Depends on which Wista 45D camera you have. On older models the bottom part is wider. The finder in the photo is for the later model cameras.

In addition to my product development efforts, I'm still actively selling! I haven't been listing as much because I get a lot of referrals, and of course, many repeat customers. I need to fund all...
If you have the folding WP wooden bookform holder and the appropriate back, you can make a sheath for 5x8, or whatever size you want. Modern WP plate holders are also available, and will allow the...
What I meant was that you could make a 5x8 sheath and use it easily with a bookform holder. Thse holders were made for plates, and can use sheaths for smaller size films.
I think you mean this kind...
Hello Jose,
I sent you an email.

I haven't seen a Horseman 5x7 back in a long time. A Sinar F2 5x7 is easier to find, and thanks to the modularity, you can always get the Norma or P variety. The Arca Swiss is a fine option, though...
I think you mean 6x10? Perhaps cutting 10x12 film in half would be an easier option? Your film choices are a bit more limited, of course.
If you want to use 5x8 inserts, it is best to get a whole...
I don't know if the Linhof plate is the same size as that for Wista cameras.
Please see:...
First, make sure the back tilt knobs are loosened. If they are tightened, the camera will not open.
The button presses down on this spring clip at the top:...
Glad you made a good deal. This has me intrigued. Can you measure the size of the rear gold cell - diameter, height? Perhaps show some close up photos? Is it simply a rear cell that has the black...
Schneider made a set of lenses with gold front barrels for their 125th anniversary. A colored rear barrel would tint the image, so you won't need a warming filter :)
From the photos, it looks like...
I should be able to help you with these parts. Please send me a message.

The Super Topcor 120mm f/5.6 lens has an image circle of 160mm, as marked on the bezel around the lens. If the flash sync port is on the board it means the lens is mounted on a Horseman 80mm lens...
Terry,
1. Toyo and Fidelity slides are not interchangeable - one is wider than the other. I will check tomorrow and confirm which one. If the Toyo slides are wider, it should be possible to sand...
This issue came up only with a batch of 4x5 slides. 8x10 slides were not affected.

Terry,
The moderators would frown if I post a sales post here. Please see this post I created just now:...
1: I have seen this lens in a Copal 0 shutter, though I don't know if the cells are interchangeable between Wollensak and Copal shutters.
3: If your camera has a side mounted rangefinder it will...

I can confirm that the Symmar-S will not fit into a Horseman HF camera when it is folded up. The older single-coated Fujinon 150mm f/6.3 and f/5.6 lenses will fit, as will the 125 and 135mm lenses of...
Toyo spanner wrenches fit Copal / Seiko #0, Copal #1 and Seiko #1 shutters. Copal #1 and Seiko #1 shutters have different sizes. #3 shutters are not supported.

Toyo still makes new cameras, though at a much smaller scale than earlier. The lead time on some models can be a few months. Parts for the VX and G and series and field cameras are available.
