Sounds Great! Still wonder where you get all the energy you seem to have with finishing a house and a darkroom.
Hope the Death Valley Trip goes well.

Kodak TMAX 100 in XTOL
I picked up a 4x5 and started reading whatever I could find and just getting out and making photographs. This was less than 4 years ago. (Aside from a 35mm point and shoot i had back in the 80's)
Issues with the acrylic ANR sheets is what got me thinking about an alternative in the first place. When I bought the holder from negative supply the glass option was back ordered for a long time. So...

Seeing sheet film holders like this one I found for sale online makes me think its a lab problem. Perhaps someone isn't using the holders correctly?
Just a thought.
No, not one bit
If I ever post again, I'll have to choose my words more wisely. This glass worked really good in the way in which I intended to use it. Which is perfect for me. (Or, as Domaz said, "good enough")...
When looking for some ANR glass for my camera scanning set up, I came across this video.

I have a friend who is a custom framer and uses the glass...
I've been using stop loss bags for storing XTOL. Works great. 1 liter each and you can squeeze any air out as you use it up. I've had XTOL stored this way for well over 6 months with no issues. YMMV....
Hopefully he will have some parts, and will be willing to build another.
I believe around $200.
These were available, I have one and know the designer and seller. He lives just a few miles from me.
He stopped producing them around 2020-2021 due to difficulty sourcing quality parts and other...
I've been using Stop Loss bags for storing XTOL stock. Work very well and you can squeeze any air out of the top before sealing. I've used XTOL 8 months after mixing with no problems.
For other...
I've been following him on youtube for a few year now, good quality work and interesting videos.
Here is one taken when out hiking in the woods.

flutots camera repair is the only one I know of.
Really interesting work! thanks for sharing!
From what I've read, I believe its because the analyzer pro automatically takes into account reciprocity failure for the paper. I can't remember where i read that, but I believe it was on the RH...
Not sure of your budget, but I really like the Harrison changing tent. I keep it unfolded when at home and roll it up in its bag when I'm on the road. Not had any problems.
Would radiation be able to cause something like this? An old CRT screen (TV or Computer Monitor), microwave? or a high level of radon? It would seen these may have an effect, but only seen on higher...
1. I'm not sure if it would be alright for the jobo or not. I always use water as its my standard practice and changing the process in my experience leads to dumb errors when I forget that I changed...
I tend to agree, and did the best I could.
Reminds me of internal corporate surveys.
Q: How would you rate the leadership of this company? (Choose one)
1: Good
2: Great
3: Excellent
*smh*
Sounds like a great trip.
This is great! Love the "face" in the image. Reminds me of Ernie from Seasme Street.
Like Kiwi7475 and sperdynamite, I have found that doing a prewash and don't adjust the time with my jobo.
Nice video of a great camera. But I have to ask, what is that tripod head he is using? :-)
Really cool interview! Congrats! Love the images in it also.

Just checked the box I bought, yep, expired as of 2021-05. I bought only one box so not really going to worry about it too much.
That is one crazy light leak. I don't know your level of experience, so take this for what its worth. Check your film holder for proper seating before pulling the dark slide. Also pay close attention...
A bit of cherry picking in the EPA form, but this paragraph is a bit concerning.
"Benefits. EPA was not able to quantify the benefits of reducing human and environmental exposures to PIP (3:1). As...
I'm really new to developing film so take this for what its worth. I use the Sous-vide from anova. I took apart an old plastic toolbox I had sitting around and filled it with water. Keeps the chems...
I'm using LensClens.#1 (the pink fluid) for all my general purpose cleaning. Using Kim wipes to apply it to the lens.

This is outstanding IMHO. Well done.
Agreed, I don't feel or think I'm old at all, but can't shake the time is running out feeling. And knowing the check engine light is going to come on sooner rather than later. Learning to use a 4x5...
49, hoping to keep that going. :-)
Since it seems to be happening outside of the negative, to me that points to a scanner issue. Do you have reference file or known good scan negative that you can compare?
About 10 years ago, I was in the Great Smoky Mountains national park. I had spotted a couple of black bears sleeping in a tree and stopped to get a few shots. (At a respectful distance of course)
I...
