I shot these several years ago, but recently had them drum scanned. I am tempted to get back into 8x10.
Both images were made on 8x10 Ilford Delta 100, rated at EI50. First one is with a red...
Why does the magnets worry you?
Thank you everyone!
Maris, I seem to have forgotten to flip the Velvia image in my haste to post them. So the Portra version is the true Skogshorn.
Thank you Ken!
It was very cold this morning, and I hope it shows in the image. It was well worth the wait in the cold. I shall revisit this location when I have an 8x10 again.
I just got these back today after having them drumscanned. The first two are Velvia 50, the next two are Portra 160 and Pro 160NS. All are shot on a Fuji GW690II

I've used them a couple of times and they are great, they're also much cheaper.
At the moment it stands between the Sinar F1/2, the Cambo SC II and the Toyo 45A fieldcamera. The Sinar seems very intriguing, as I could buy an 8x10 conversion kit for it as well. I want to get back...
Yes. I seem to have mismatched the Toyo and Wista. I have been looking at the 45A. Most of the Toyo 45 on ebay seem to have some sort of bellow issues, or costs more than a new Chamonix...
Is it possible to remove the standards from the rail? I have a pretty huge backpack, 130 Litres, which I guess I could fit either system into.
Hi.
I've decided that I want a metal construction 4x5. I've had a Tachihara 4x5 and I remember it as being flimsy with longer lenses. Now that being said, I've been looking at the Wista 4x5 field...
I've used Tim Parkin's service two times. He's great.
I'm not foreign to wasting film. This was my first, or second shot with slide film. The composition isn't exactly great. But the light and colours look ok in my eyes.
...
Oh yes, I'm sorry.
I only do landscape photography. I do not want a rail camera, as it will be too cumbersome.
It would be great if I could get a complete outfit with lenses at the $1000 mark.
Hi.
I had to sell all of my equipment two years ago, due to financial issues.
I'm now want to get back into photography, and I will be going for a 4x5. I will mainly shoot colour and scan. I...
Thank you for the info and the link. I'll read some more about it when I have time. I remember that deciding on a digital lens was much easier, there are sample images all over the internet of those....
Is the lens in question multicoated?
The Angulon only has a 300mm image circle at f/16. That seems inadequate for my use, unfortunately.
Thank you Andreios. I too will be going back to the Dolomites, maybe in the autumn this year. I really liked the place, and I have only seen a small part of the Dolomites so far. I have been many...
I'm thinking about getting the 165mm SA, but I want to find it at a better price than at ebay. I use a lot of movements with my camera, it's one of the main reasons why I shoot LF. Having a 210...
Thank you guys. I been looking at the angulons on evilbay, and they were quite expensive. I'll need to see a comparison between a 300, 240 and a 2 10 mm to see how big of a difference there is...
Thank you! I have not seen that film, but I have heard good things.
I don't want anything that is too wide. 150mm is probably going to be too wide, I had a 21mm lens for 35mm once, and I didn't like it all too much. Something around 24-28mm equivalent would be good....
I know this has been a topic of discussion before, but I didn't want to revive an old and dead thread. I do have some questions that are somewhat unique to me as well.
I would like to get a wide...
Thanks!
Must likely yes. There was actually two farms right behind me, and I'm sure you could convince the farmer's to let you buy their house ;-)
Thank you guys! I will must certainly be going back to the Dolomites when I have time. Such an amazing place!

I've just checked Adorama and BH, but no cigar. I think this site will be your best bet, as Velvia 50 is still sold in Japan....
Then it seems wikipedia has misinformed me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodinal#Acutance. In that case, I retract my statement.
Rodinal is a high-accutance developer, therefore it will make images appear sharp.
Back to topic: I've been using Ilford Delta 8x10/4x5 and I've used Ilfotec HC for over a year now, it's a good...
Just started printing one of my negatives from Italy. This is Ilford Delta 8x10 EI50 printed at old Agfa Variable Contrast paper, Grade 3. I think the grass after the immediate foreground needs a bit...
Hi. Does anyone know where I can purchase 8x10 sheet film in the proximity of Florence, Italy?
I won't go into all the technical details, but I think Bruce Barnbaum explains the filmspeed aspect very well.

I have used the Lee system for several years, I think it's great. Instead of buying different sized filters for every lens, you just buy one filter and a adaptor ring to each different filter thread....
I'm going to go have a look at the Induro AT413 next week. At $217, with a max load of 20kg and weight of 3,2kg, it's the best deal I can get.
Thank you all for the replies. I have been looking at some Berlebach tripods, but they seem to have mixed reviews. Are they any good? They certainly stable according to Berlebach.
Thank you for the links. It seems the Gitzo G1325 have been replaced with the GT3532LS, which costs $1000 - that is unfortunately out of my price range.
I have come to the realization that I am in the need of a new tripod. I currently have an Induro CT214, it is a good tripod - just not for 8x10. I find it to be way too flimsy at full extension. I...
Isn't Ilfotec HC the same thing?
Hi. I'm going to be spending two weeks in Tuscany next summer. Now, I will of course visit the tourist traps - I am aware of those. I wonder what else there is to see, are there any hidden gems etc? ...
